Berylanna, good luck to you and thanks for the fight.
I love this part:
"A 2009 evaluation by the FDA's Division of Pharmaceutical Analysis evaluated two brands of electronic cigarettes for nicotine content and other impurities. Nicotine was found in both products and other possible tobacco specific impurities were detected, such as menthol."
I wasn't aware menthol was a "tobacco specific impurity". What about those Vicks humidifiers that blow a vapor of menthol into the air? Should those be included in this ban as well?
Actually... that's a damn good point.
Reading the
Vicks Warm Mist Humidifier Manual...
Tells me to put
Vicks Vapor Steam in the "Medication Cup"...
So naturally... I looked it up:
Vicks Vapor Steam
Active ingredient
Camphor 6.2%
Inactive ingredients
alcohol 78%, cedarleaf oil, eucalyptus oil, laureth-7, menthol, nutmeg oil, poloxamer 124, silicone
WAIT.... WAIT WAIT WAIT... "Silicone"? Do I really want to breath that?
No wait... that wasn't it...
ah... "laureth-7"... That sounds vaguely, um... "not good"...
Let's find out more about
laureth-7
About LAURETH-7:
Laureth-7 is a polyethylene glycol-based surfactant; may contain potentially toxic impurities such as 1,4-dioxane.
Bwahahaha this is too good.... For those unaware...
1,4-dioxane is a
Carcinogen...
not joking...
Look it up
Don't even get me started on
poloxamer 124 LOL
Actually... this could be a VERY big point to make... Because if you actually read about products that are approved for over the counter sale and not heavily regulated and taxed... I bet we can find a lot of similar products to this... that can be used as an analogy
