Those battery should be removed from your mod, place somewhere that is non conductive so they are not touching each other. You need to replace the wraps or failing that, replace the batteries. Please do not try to use them in that condition.

Below is a video demonstrating how to replace the wraps.

If the mod works you should be fine. BUT DO NOT use batteries with torn or damaged wraps.

Thank you so much. I will not use these batteries. Infact will dispose them off now. Thanks for the re wrapping video. I decided not to take any risk so I ordered two new VTC6s. Really unnecessary expense but glad that my mod is saved. I am extremely surprised how it took the damage without any crack so that shows it is built with nice solid material by Vaporesso.

I am waiting for my Nautilus 2s to arrive today. Ordered the 0.7 Nautilus BVC mesh coils too after reading they are good for MTL and will give nice vapor too. I will update you guys once I ll have the batteries so I can test everything. Thanks.

Nicks and tears in the wraps happen, and changing them is not difficult at all. It is well advised to purchase some battery wraps and spare top insulator rings. They are not expensive, may shops will give them away. It is also well advised to pickup proper battery cases. Again not expensive.

Nautilus 2s tank arrived. I bought the non TPD version. I love the quality of the tank. Didn't tested the stock 1.8 drip tip. I bought Nautilus 0.7 BVC coils so I primed the 0.7 coil and inserted to tank and let it rest for 30 minutes. Vaped few puffs at 5 watts and then 7 and gradually increased to 18 watts (Recommended is 18 to 23). I find very less flavour. The juice is pure tobacco flavour with 50/50 PG VG. I will see further. Hope the flavour improves more as coil breaks in. Love the restricted air flow on this. Just like I wanted. I like to puff hard to draw vape to mouth and then to lungs. With this drip tip its nice restricted draw.

One question is that when a coil is burnt you just feel the burnt taste or is too harsh to tolerate? I am indecisive that if the coil is ok or not. Some puffs I feel like its just tasteless vape and maybe burnt flavour but I am not sure about it. Want to know if the throat hit is tolerable if coil is burnt.

The recommended range is just that, recommended, if you like the vape best at 12, 14w whatever no harm will come.
There is no reason you must use between 18w - 23w. Use the power & airflow setting you like best / what works best for your personal preference.
Airflow is also the coil head's cooling system, too restricted airflow too high power = burnt in a hurry.

Burnt hits taste burnt, and fairly horrid, to me they seem hotter than normal.
When you get one I think it is safe to say you'll know it.

You should see a bubble or two rise from the wicking holes occasionally, this shows the head is wicking properly.

Thank you. So using a coil below the recommended range is not under powering it?

I guess its not burnt. Just like no to very less flavour.

'Technically' yes, using a coil under the lowest recommended power would be considered under powering the head.
So what...

I've said it in several of your threads many times and as many ways as I can think of.

Everything to do with vaping are matters of personal preference, there are no rules except basic battery safety.
Use your equipment, all of it, however it works best for you.
You'll have to experiment with everything you have to figure out how it all works best for you.

We can't tell you what you will like or how to get there.
We can say what works best for us or what we like, but, that doesn't mean you will have the same experience.
Each individual has to find what works best for them.

Adjust power up/down in small increments, increase or decrease airflow, try different resistance heads etc.

My favorite is the 1.8, some folks swear by the 1.6, others like the .7's, some like one of the three Triton mini heads that also work in the nautilus.

Thanks a lot. I will try other heads too.
