This weekend will be my first camping trip with vaping. Will be taking 3 just in case! Haha

Here's a question, though I think I already know the answer! Can I use any 12v usb adapter with my ego charger? Usb is just 5v so shouldn't matter right? Might take longer if the 12v is lower output, but should still work right?

Yes, the 12v adapter just converts the 12 to 5. Some do not have high enough output (milli amps) to allow you to vape a pass-through (no battery) but everything else will work. If it is 500 milli amp it will take longer to charge most things more powerful than a 650mah eGo. 1000 or 2000 is nice to have.

That's pretty much what I'd figured, but wanted to double check before I fried a battery! I've got to egos and lt with 2 batteries so I should be good to go!

And on a completely different direction, I was just on Jughead's site and clicked on the 'mods' link and there was the cutest little Altoid mod sitting there. Takes AA batteries, too. It's actually pretty darned appealing for few times I'll get out in the bush. Cheap too! Big HMMM coming ...

Wish I had an answer for this post. Apparently I don't go camping so I have been told. I go RVing. So I never have to worry as I RV where there is power. For me this has not been an issue for almost 2 years now.

Unless you are sleeping on a bunch of dirt with rock poking in your back all night you are not camping! LOL Outhouses and running water also disqualify anyone. Back in Ontario my father and I used to boat out to some little island and set up a tent......that was camping.....I miss those days!

Been there and done that. Started with a Tent, moved up to a Tent Trailer and as of right now have a 29 Foot Travel Trailer. You can keep your rock in the back while I stick with the Queen size bed.

I don't like outhouses, rather hang with the bears any day. But yeah ecigs would cramp my camping style for sure.... now that was my profound input to this thread . You boys get all technical and i appreciate the knowledge, however how does ecig = nature, well, I'm not convinced yet. I don't want a degree to figure out how to charge this thing i need to smoke. Downside unfortunately. Here's to camping though

this statement is not very clear ... almost sounds like they are saying at a full charge the device is only capable of charging a 600mah battery ... which I guess kinda makes sense ... if you hook a dead battery up to a full one they will seek to reach equalibrium.

That's true, but I'm thinking that 1) The e-cig battery will not be completely drained 2) once they are at equilibrium, the solar panel should charge both to their respective capacities?

Afterthought: As long as the charger battery can provide more than 4.2 volts, the e-cig will still be charging. There must also be a diode built in so that the charger will not accept power from the e-cig. Regardless, it is not the same as boosting a dead battery.

Price would be holding me back from those. $69 and $99.

Don't tell my wife, BUT, I tried her tablet (fully charged) with an 1100mah pass-through battery (at cut-off voltage, 3.6 volts) and it charged it completely (2.5 hours) and dropped the tablet battery to 75% charge.

I realize that some tablets don't have a USB connection but the ones that do could probably do 3 full charges. Shhhhh!

I must say, camping and vaping go together very well! Sitting by the fire.... On the beach... Anywhere! Very enjoyable!
