There's a thread here called "Refrigerating E-liquid OK?" I just read as I'm curious too. It's quite helpful. Gonna continue reading now.
Btw, u mentioned ur gf said it smell different. But does it taste different to u? If not then I think it shld be okay. Cos the boy I bought juices from told me before that we can keep them for quite sometime though he didn't gave me a specific ans. Well at least a couple of mths I guess.

Most juices from mfg date has shelf life of about 2 years. Sad to say some of you guys bought it is already spent time in the warehouse and time spend in transit, but right during this time the juices are already steeped and when reaches your hand is steep enough to vape. But some slow moving juices which are keep longer in the warehouses and shelf life depleted

Juices turned bad when it was expose to strong sun light and left over juices in the bottle are also exposed to air and very lightly it will turn bad

My experience, a premium bottle left around half, and I have a habit of half closed the cap and I went away for a month. When I returned, the juices exposed to sunlight and air it changes colour and had a very bad smell. The same brand and unopened ones in my closet (cool and dark) are good as new

Keep your juices away from sunlight and ensure bottle cap are properly closed if you are away for a long time
