Can any Boge LR 2.0 users teach me how to stop the popping sound?

Man this is pissing me off... Been having good and bad boges 2.0 LR for like 6 months. The problem that I am experience right now is that it makes a loud popping sound and then the carto turns hot. Does anyone have a fix for this problem? I've tried many different thickness of juices, also tried using a needle to inject juice. Man this sucks!!

Not sure what is going on there...but sounds like the juice isn't soaking the coil all the way or something. I've been using 2ohm single coils for the batter part of a year, and have started back using Boge in the past 4 months ...and I LOVE them! I do get an occasional dud, but mostly they are great. I use a carto tank most of the time. What ratio PG/VG are you using, and are you just vaping the cartos al fresco or in a tank or what?

I also use the 2ohm but without the tank. Tried 50PG/50VG all the way to 100VG. Can you tell me which vendor you purchased from? Thanks.

    Reduce voltage.

Popping is the e-liquid rapidly frying off the super heated coil. Only 2 ways to fix it. Either add another hole for more wicking, could lead to flooding. Or reduce voltage so the coil does not heat up as fast.(watts actually)

    ^^ was my first thought.
The only time I have experienced that sort of problem was when I swapped out tanks and the new tank had a 2ohm carto in it and the PV was cranked up for the 3ohm carto in the other tank.

Hi thanks for the replies. I use an EGO-T battery and BOGE LR 2.0 ohm carto with no tank, I believe this is a very basic and simple set up and should not have a problem with voltage. It's not 100% I will always get the popping sound but I get it like 80% of the time. I tried so many ways to inject the liquid, and many different ratio of PG/VG juices. So far I find 100% PG have less chance of getting the popping sound. I usually drop 20-25 drops into the carto.

The popping sound makes the tastes of the juice very bad and weird.

Hunh. I always kinda liked the popping and crackling sound. I never had any bad vapes from those sounds. I always associate it with a healthy carto. Guess I was wrong this whole time?

Me too. Our crackling must be different from the popping he's describing.
