OK, I am over 3 weeks smoke free- since day 1 of vaping.

I said- I wasn't going to go overboard and buy all these different models like sooooooooooo many do. I LOVE my first pv joye 510. I have NO need for anything else, after I had stocked up on DIY juice supplies and a disposable 510 backup. I am using this as a way to quit cigarettes

I was doing so well for all these weeks. Until...I made my first nicostick 3.7 900mah ..then oh an adapter for 5 bucks and 808D cartomizers well that is so inexpensive too....ah a classified ad takes trades and he has so many other pv's maybe ....OH joye attys at 5.99 gotta have a couple extra more at this price OH look at that cigar and a syringe for under 2.00!!!

3 weeks I did so well!!

How about one of those oxygen tubes that wraps around the ears with two nostril openings so you can vape hands-free!

It's funny you should mention it because I've got the mod bug too and I don't know when or if I'll ever reach my "break-even" point.

:thumb:

Mods ....yikes that's the even deeper infection of the madness8-o I am not one for making such things! OK so... I can make this nicostick and it rocks
5 volts curiousity..can make that for less the 15.00 LOL and oh those pretty one's other people make.

Oxygen tubes..now how exactly would that work ..let's see if we:lol:

AngusATAT :-x 4 months and still going!!!!! ..note to self..just go to bank and put everything into a early withdrawal penalty account....get oxygen tubes n maybe tie yourself up with them!!

I'm coming up to my first three months of vaping and I have spent several times what I would have done on analogs, but, I do have damn near a years worth of juice and I have two top quality mods, so all I can really justify now is a PT for my BB, so I expect to see some big savings next year...:)

Then again, Health Cabin have just release their line of VG juice...and a Silver Bullet would be nice and that VPPT I have my eye on and then there is...

Ah bugger it...no, nobody can stop the madness. :D

Dunno about heavy, but cigs are 7 bucks a pack here. So, you could spend 200 smoking a pack a day. And if you buy a carton? Woo hoo you save like 2 dollars. LOL

I bought three pairs of sneakers for myself while xmas shopping. LOL.. The vaping addicition is only one portion of what makes my money dissappear.

I bought generic ..since I knew that I should quit but didn't want to really.
Can you imagine how much those who smoke 2 and 3 packs a day can justify?? I was avg 1 pack a day too.

About the sneaks..it was my birthday in OCT. I got 3 pair then : ). I also, got a pair for Christmas. But not to think about buying shoes and purses now...Amazing

Why yes... yes I can

I smoked 3 packs of Kool Filter Kings per day. It's not just the money saved from not smoking, either. My wife is so happy that I'm no longer killing myself with those things, I can spend reDONKulous amounts on e-cig stuff and she's cool with it.

OH that's easy!! Got a fireplace? Toss them in! A microwave might work?? Perhaps baking in a pan you don't mind losing ..say 450 degress for 25 minutes ought to do it LOL.

So it's true for you too..... the madness does effect our love ones!! They exhibit strange behavior too.

OOps Just put the wrong end of my pv into my mouth here..good gosh certainnnnnnnly can't go back to cigs..Now how did these 3rd degree burns only effect this area again??

Yep! I mistitled my Illustrated Guide. It should have been your phrase: The Wonderful Madness of Vaping!

During this holiday season, I went overboard, spending about $150. Not on some superlative mod, but in dribs and drabs (parts, GreenCig cartomizers, juice, adapters, fresh batteries and charger for my Prodigy, etc.). Well, tis the season, right?

Now it's back to the AngusAT&T guideline: no more than I spent on analogs, which for me was about $35/week.:(

EDIT: I just saw natura's post mentioning "birthday." My birthday is in late-January! Another excuse to splurge! Yay!:D

Stop? No, it's an ongoing habit, until you stop for good. The expense certainly slows once you find what's best for you. I spent $330 a month on cigs, so there was a lot of room to play with. I quit cigs within a week and averaged $325 a month for the 1st 2 months, stocking up & experimenting, and still spent no more than I would have on cigs. So, after 2 months I broke even, BUT, I had batteries to last 2 yrs., attys for 2 yrs. (25 501's at $5 each in quantity), liquid to last 6 months, and a xxxx load of accessories. Since that 2 month mark I have spent very little. I use 2 ml. per day, and get the cost down as low as 23 cents a ml., so now I spend about a half a dollar a day vs. $11 a day on cigs. I feel great about this....kinda sweet revenge. I'm a registered democrat and really felt quite burned after being promised no tax increases. Then the 1st thing Obama does is sign the $787 billion stimulus, which included a $1 a pack tax hike on cigs. Wow, $2 a day, $60 a month....really stimulated my economy. Now the dems can take their cig tax and shove it. I will be voting republican now, for the 1st time in my life. As for vaping, as I said, $330 a month vs. $15 a month on liquid gives me a lot of room to play with & try new products as they come along. It's hard to see how anyone could possibly not eventually save quite a sum of money. If I bought nothing but liquid for the next year it would cost $180, while cigarettes would have cost $4,015 (at $5.50 a pack). Geez, my young son will be driving in 6 years, and the $24,000 saved dollars (over 6 yrs.) will buy him a new car.

It comes in waves. I'm content for a few months, then outta nowhere I decide I need new batts/attys/flavors blah blah blah. Just dropped over $100 US on mod parts and attys. If you're gonna do it, I think that's the way to go. $100 will get you quite a few more PVs than dropping it on a Chuck or BB or the like. But to answer your question...no, I have no idea how to stop the madness

Don't hop on every 'sale' most are a bust unless you're already famililar with the juice - then of course go for it. But always get 3 or 5 or 6ml samplers. If they don't offer them - pass on by - there's a reason they don't. Most of this is just lorann flavored dekang nic juice. Some can mix and some can't. Find out who can and stick with them. Janty/joye juice looks like it's on it's way out - too bad really.

Well, I don't know if it will stop for me any time soon.
So far, been vapin since Oct 23, or there abouts.
I own two Health e cigs. (first purchases, didn't know any better)
A Joye 510 starter, four xtra batteries, PT, and PCC from Cignot.
5 mega titan batteries, attys, and a 5 battery charger from Wicked.
Today I got my Silver Bullet kit with adapter, some attys, cartomizers etc. from Altsmoke.
On the day after I ordered my SB, I ordered the Prodigy V2 kit from Puresmoker.
Just learning the SB, not overly impressed just yet. I do like it, however, so far, it doesent do much better than my 510 PT. I'm still at it though.
