I use distilled water in place of PG I usually do an 80/20 blend good for dripping good for my kayfun...oh thats 80 vg and 20 distilled water. give it a whirl I think you will find it improves flavors and you have to use less flavoring in all because distilled water carries little to no taste unlike PG which can be kind of musty or sweet.

What do you mean by "helps with the flavor not sticking". I don't understand.

50/50 VG/H20 isn't going to work very well. I use DIY 95/5 VG/H2O. The H2O is used to thin the liquid for optimal wicking in my carto tank. That's the only reason I add H2O to the mix. I don't use PG at all, or flavoring. The only other ingredient is nicotine.

Ive read that distilled water helps with the flavor not sticking, so a lot of people use a small percentage of it.

Any ideas on what a 50/ 50 blend with VG and distilled water would work?

I think you would burn through flavors pretty quick, but not sure

A 50/50 mix would not, IMHO vape at all.

Vaporization is very different than boiling. PG and VG will both vaporize because of their chemical makeup. Vaporizing is not turning the liquid into a gas, it is turning the liquid into very small droplets of liquid. Water will vaporize in a spray (i.e. mechanically) but it won't vaporize by heating it with a coil; it will just boil.

When PG/VG vaporizes, I do believe that a tiny bit of it actually does boil. However it has such a strong attraction to itself that a tiny puff of gas pulls a much larger blob of liquid with it. This is why it doesn't totally take the skin off your lungs; the droplets get shot off at a temperature much lower than the boiling point of the liquid. Water, despite being a polar molecule (with some surface tension and viscosity) just doesn't do this. Water, Saline, and alcohol can be added in small amounts to affect the viscosity, throat hit, and flavor. But they can't be major components, or the liquid will be unvapeable.

How would you go about making distilled water?? But I have never tried using it, I usually just use 100 vg didnt know it added extra flavor. How do you vape with no flavor???? Thats crazy

To make distilled water you either distill water, or buy a bottle of distilled water (which is available in most supermarkets).
Many people vape with unflavored nicotine juice. It is not crazy in the least. People also vape unflavored 0-nic juice. It still gives the sensation of smoking, and for many it is the last step before not vaping any more.

Nothing crazy about it. Might not be for you, but.

Not crazy at all. And I am very particular about the nicotine flavor which varies widely by source.

Yes, you can buy distilled water at the grocery store in plastic bottles. That's the easiest and cheapest way unless you have a 'still handy.

it's about 10% water to use.

50/50 will not work at all.

A little bit too much water and you lose all fog, and tank tends to get too hot.

Flavorless wicks and coils last an extremely long time. Flavorless really isn't flavorless. When you get "vaper's tongue" and can't taste flavors a while a flavorless should help that.

The best benefit of flavorless is it removes the biggest unanswered question about vaping. The big unknown and possible downfall of vaping is what each individual flavor does to our bodies long term.
We have a pretty good idea of PG, VG and nicotine. Flavors are a huge can of worms.

+1 here...all I vape is either unflavored or a mild menthol mix I make using UPS menthol crystals. I keep a pair of Nova-S pyrex BDC tanks filled so I can alternate easily.

...and yes--coils last a LONG time. I ran a pair of Aspire BDC coils for six weeks before changing them (one in an unflavored and one in my menthol mix)--and when I pulled them out one looked brand new and the other had a slight blackening to it (probably the menthol one). I only changed them because I was curious ;)

With Vapers Tek nic. It truly is unflavored. All I taste is the pg and vg. Which tastes like sweet water :D

I've been thinning my Boba's Bounty down with a little squirt of distilled water for a week or so in my Russian. Seems to give my coil a little more life before becoming gunked up and it wicks much better. I think it tastes a little better.
Exactly. I feel a lot better too. I'm not getting dried out like I use to.

RTS is said to be quite flavorless too. I can't fully speak to that because I use gennies and ran a tank of flavor through before I switched. I can still taste the original flavor on the wick sometimes.
All that said, flavorless is kind of like a light cigarette. After you've smoked the same brand for years you don't really taste it. It's just there. That's the flavor of flavorless I get.

Every nic base that I tried tasted like a light cigarette. I grew tired of mixing fruit and bakery flavors. That tasted like I was smoking, and eating at the same time :D I'm glad we have choices now for our final mixes. It's really nice to vape cherry that actually doesn't taste like cherry tobacco. :) Vapers Tek is 100% FLAVORLESS :)

I haven't encountered any flavorless nicotine yet, but I consider TH to be part of the nicotine flavor. Comparison of nicotine taste is going to be very subjective to say the least. No two people taste anything exactly the same way.

And the nicotine concentration of the juice will have a huge effect on the taste. The Xtreme Vaping nicotine base I use comes from a single source. The flavor is very subtle but with good TH at 12mg and I doubt that I could taste it at all at 6mg.
