Can I add DIY flavor-extract to my E-Liquid??

Hey guys, I always get my juice from my local vape store, and they have a lott of flavors.. The flavor I usually get is a Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake, it is my favorite and pretty much all I vape out of my ProTank or T2's, I get it in 14mg Reduced-PG (50/50).. They mix the juice for you right there in their shop while you wait, and I noticed on their website that they also offer small bottles of flavor-extracts for DIY..

Well a couple days ago I heard they were having a big sale ($20 for a 50mL bottle that is usually $35), so I went in and stocked up and I got 2 big 50mL bottles of Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake, a 50mL of Chocolate Milkshake (which i add about 25% to my T. Marshmallow Milkshake), and a 50ml bottle of 75%T. Marshmallow Milkshake/25% Cotton Candy for a friend. So I spent nearly $80 on juice that should last me all summer, and the sale ended today..

So today, after letting all my new juice steep for a day, I mixed up about 70% Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake with about 30% Chocolate Milkshake like I usually do and filled it into my ProTank.. Well I can hardly taste the sweet marshmallow flavor I love so much, all I can really taste is the milkshake flavor, and it almost just tastes like a plain-milk vape!! I tried the T. Marsh-Milkshake by itself in my 510-atty and it still just tasted like milk..
... I have a few friend who also vape the same Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake and I tried there's and can really taste the difference, there's is so much more marshmallowy and sweet. My friend also let me try his 75%T.Marshmallow.Shake/25%Cotton Candy that I bought for him with my juice and it was DELICIOUS, I'm actually jealous and feel stupid that I didn't just get 3 50ml bottles of that!!

Now I have never DIY'ed myself before, but would I be able to go buy a little bottle of plain Toasted Marshmallow flavor-extract (not TM-milkshake) and add a tiny bit of it to my pre-mixed 'TMM' juice to sweeten it up?? I'm worried it will lower my juice's nic-level and effect the way it vapes.
I was even thinking about getting a bottle of the T.Marshmallow extract and their Cotton Candy extract (if they have it, not listed but they sell Cotton Candy e-liquid) and adding some of both flavor-extracts to my Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake juice to make it sweet and delicious like my friend's juice is.
...I almost went into the store today and bought another 50mL bottle of 60%Toasted Marshmallow/40% Cotton Candy e-liquid before their sale ended, so I could add it to my T. Marshmallow Milkshake juice (mixing the two 50/50), which would hopefully make it exactly like my friends' 75% Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake/25% Cotton Candy juice..

I don't know what to do or what is my best option.. All I know is that I blew nearly $100 on 150mL of juice that tastes like plain-milk, not like it's suppose to, and it's not good. What do you guys think?? Thanks in advanced!!

I also heard that there is 2 different sweetener-bases that they use to make the Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake and Toasted Marshmallow (and other sweet flavors), and that one of the bases is actually Cotton Candy, maybe they use that one instead on my friends juice and the other sweetener-base on mine and that's why his taste's so good? That also could explain why my T.Marshmallow Milkshake sometimes tastes different every time I buy it from them.
.. I don't know, when i first tried my friends 25%Cotton Candy/75% T. Marshmallow Milkshake e-liquid, I loved it so much that I went and bought regular Cotton Candy e-liquid to add to my regular T. Marshmallow Milkshake e-liquid, and I mixed them in the same proportions, but it did not taste the same.. My Cotton Candy tasted fruity almost like fruit punch or something, and that carried over when I mixed it to my 'TMM' e-liquid. His CottonCandy/MarshmallowMilkshake tasted completely different, and all these flavors and juices are from the same store, bought around the same time.

I don't know what I should do to get the best taste? Thanks to anybody who reads all this!! :)

I know exactly how you feel. I purchased a 50mL bottle of my vape of choice, "Hazelnut" from Mt Baker Vapor. When I got it, the taste was extremely faint compared to how it tasted the previous time I purchased it in a 15mL bottle. After a couple days, I ordered a bottle of the Hazelnut flavoring that they use. I figured I would just add a little into the already premixed juice, which I had heard of many people doing before. My problem was that I added WAY to much of the flavoring into the juice. It went from a decently thick juice to the consistency of water, and the taste was horrific, literally made me gag lol.

All I can say is when adding DIY flavorings into your already mixed juice, start with a VERY small amount. I learned the hard way, completely wasting my 50mL bottle of e juice.

If I were you, I would let the flavors steep for like a week or two at least, and see if the flavoring comes out more and better suits your taste.

Happy vaping! :)

Hey thanks for the reply! :)
Yes If I do end up adding the DIY flavor extract to my e-liquid, I will definitely start in very small proportions at a time, like maybe 1 drop of extract per 5ml or 10ml of juice. I might also need to let it steep, but all the juice I've gotten from this place has always been great right after purchasing and never needed to steep.
.. I really don't want to be stuck with a bunch of kinda bland juice; but definitely don't want to mess it up completely either

I really want to add a little cotton-candy juice. But the last time I bought regular Cotton Candy e-liquid and added it to my marshmallow e-liquid, it didn't taste the same at all, it tasted more fruity like fruit punch instead of the smooth sweet tasting delicious Cotton Candy that my friend had mixed with his marshmallow. I also tried vaping my Cotton Candy by itself and it just tasted completely different, really fruity

I just don't know if I should try to fix this with the DIY flavor-extract (this store only sells 3mL bottles of extract for $2.60, probably a decent amount of flavor though), or to spend more $$ on another bottle of juice to mix into my 'messed-up' juice.. I really don't want to buy more juice after I just spent $80 on what I thought would be enough juice to get me through the summer, especially now that their sale is over too..

If I were you I would go back to the store with all your bottles, explain the problem, and ask them what might be able to fix it. Sounds like they weren't too sure one flavor was going to be any good to start with. Since they made it, and they have the flavors you'll have to go there to buy it anyway, they probably have the best chance of fixing it. Good luck!

If I purchased that much juice from a vendor and found it that inconsistent with the same flavor previously purchased I wouldn't be DIYing, I'd be requesting (and demanding) a remix. And if they wouldn't do it I'd be sending them some very negative publicity. I tend to avoid conflict but think that's outrageous.
Be sure to keep some of the original purchase unchanged so that they can taste it. My experience with small vendors who make mistakes has been terrific actually - they don't want a bad rep and are generally eager to please.
