I would say go for the ego-t and cartos before the riva and cartos. That way you'd get to try 2 different systems. With the Riva, you'd probably just use the cartos and wouldn't use the rest of the kit. Couldn't try the tank. I never really messed with the atty and carts that came with my ego kit. Just the boges. But you can put the boge cartos on the ego-t batts and use them that way as well.

Once ya get the system and find that you're happy with it, SPARES!

Plus one on that. If you're looking at a 650 kit, you might consider getting some bigger battery backups (which may become your primary). I would go with 1000 mah kit if it was me, I wouldn't bother with the 650. Might as well start out with something that'll keep ya happiest if you can afford it.

Is there a major difference? Would it be better to order the ego t do you think?

Nothing wrong with either except the price and lifespan of the batteries. The E-Power 510 is same level as the Riva (true 3.7v) but the batteries cost $4 - $5 each instead of the $14 - $20 each for the Riva/eGo. And the batteries last 3 - 4 times longer.

My thoughts to you
Check out a few juice vendors and order some additional
SMALL bottles of juice. That will be your biggest hurdle
is to find the juice that fits your taste buds.
Juice from different vendors is important to try as they
will all vary somewhat.
Glad to have you and I think you will be just fine with what
you ordered

I'm about to place my first order. I've ordered the Riva 510 starter kit, 2 x5 pack boge 510 cartomizers plus several 5ml liquid samples. Is there anything else I should be ordering? I'm afraid I'm missing something essential and it'll delay the start of my vaping even more than it has been.

Thanks!

That should start you out just fine. Don't over complicate it.
Try to relax and enjoy yourself :)

+1 and be patient when filling the cartomizers otherwise you might end up getting a burnt taste. I really enjoy the 2 ohm cartomizers with my ego batts. I have noticed that I only get the popping and crackle sound from the cartos when the juice has a good amount of VG base in it, my 100% PG juice just has a sizzle sound, tastes great but with a lot less vapor which is expected

Love the E-Power. I have 2 myself. And I'm pretty sure you originally suggested it to me, WV. :D

A 510 drip tip and MORE juice. Several 5ml samples is not enough for starting out. Some companies can take weeks to deliver juices. I would put another juice order in somewhere fairly fast at shipping (like FreedomSmokeUSA). Their Flavor Range juics are available in any 10% PG/VG (and in Boge cartos I use PG w/ 20% VG or less). Their Specialties and Samples are 50/50 only. I drip those or you can use in cartridges on the atomizer). I only put thin liquid in Boge cartos.

or for cheap backup juice, pick a tobacco flavor of the Chinese juice at Madvapes or LiteCigUSA.net (more selection) and get a 30ml bottle. I have not been thrilled with any non-tobacco Chinese flavors but some of the Chinese tobaccos are OK. Both should also have drip tips. They are great from trying juices and for vaping sometimes. I also use the simple plastic and delrin ones as a comfortable mouthpiece on cartos (easy to pull out to add juice)

Welcome to the forums! This is the kit I started off on as well about 3 weeks ago, based on recommendations from here. I'm assuming you are ordering from Liberty Flights.

I would echo people here and say to order a bit more. Get a 5-pack of both Low Resistance Boges and normal - I found I actually like them both for different reasons with different juices, etc. And pick up a couple drip tips. Liberty Flights is great (actually just purchased from them for the 3rd time in as many weeks). I have generally preferred juices from other vendors, though. FreedomSmokeUSA is a good suggestion. My favorite flavors so far have been from TastyVapor, and they do 10 ml bottles of their most popular flavors. There are a ton of good vendors, though.
