Can I use a carto meant for a tank (one hole on side) without the whole tank on it?

Disclaimer: I've only been at this a couple of weeks so YMMV.

I have a really great sweet flavor that I don't want to get tired of, can I just cover the hole with tape or something and vape it like that for a little? Or will it burn the carto? The whole thing is about the size of the typical screw on blu-type cartridges. Around how many puffs should I have?

I've done this a few times. Usually, I'll do this with a carto to find out if I want a full tank of a certain flavor. If not, I put the carto aside for cleaning, if so, then I saturate it again one more time then it's pre-primed for inserting in a tank. Not sure if anyone else does this, but it's been working for me. I'll saturate the carto until a drop or two seeps out of the pre-drilled holes. Then I wipe it off, stuff on a drip tip and go. A little messy compared to a non-punched blank but it will work.

I've never tried blu ecigs, but I can assume that it has a larger capacity for juice and the voltage is probably low compared to what I vape on (4.0-4.4).

On a single coil carto I usually get 10 to 15 hits when fully saturated, and I'm running that at 8.5 watts (~5v on a 3ohm carto). Lower v/w would stretch out some more. After you do it a few times, you'll be able to feel the taste and texture of the vapor change when it starts getting dry, and can re-saturate the carto.

To the OP, I've wondered the same thing. The only thing that should be addressed is the punched hole. I'm sure that there are easier ways to do this, but my method is to cut a small piece of tin foil to cover the hole, then wrap tape around it all. This way, I don't have to worry about adhesive getting into the cargo (they can get pretty hot). Once the punched hole is "patched", the carto is no different than a non-punched one. If you have a hole puncher (for paper), use it to punch out a small circle of foil. Adhere the foil to tape of your choice, and wrap over the hole.

Problem solved. No juice leaking out of the punch, and no losing sleep over wondering if the tape is bad for the juice/ filler.

Just my method. Hope this helps!
