With the FDA regulations aproaching, I just bought a 7.2% PG/VG base to have in the following years. I don't vape too high nic so I figured it would last me about two years-3 after I open it, which would probably be around December. The one I got was made in November last year, already got a pale yellow color and it says says it's good for a year more. I've read on how to store them( in small glass bottles in the freezer) but thing is I can't find laboratory-grade bottles around, and I'd have to pay about 40 euros to be able to actually get them delivered.
So I thought about those small 50mL glass vodka bottles. What if I were to use those after cleaning and drying? Will it last me the 2.5-3 years from now I need it too? The main question is if the cap is good enough to seal air-tight?

They are metal caps, they fit quite strongly. Other solutions?. Maybe go to the local pharmacy and get an hydrogen peroxide bottle or something else?
I also have some empty ink bottles. They seem to have some kind of sealing padding. I'm really stressing myself to find more ideas but any help is appreciated as I want to get this over with asap, every day in plastic outside the fridge might mean a week less life...
Edit: I actually had one of those bottles filled to the brim with Vodka. The cap doesn't smell in the slightest when closed, I know the human nose isn't the best detector possible, but those bottles are made for storing alcohol, which tends to evaporate, for years, so they should technically be air-tight, right?

Europe, in Romania. Apparently you can't even get apothecary supplies without making huge orders or travelling hundreds of km around here.
I want to store 100mL and I intend on getting another 100mL when the regulations hit this autumn. I vape 3-6mg/mL and about 1-1.5mL/day. So about 5mL of nicotine liquid/month should be fine. As for how often I'll be making a batch, probably once every 3 weeks to a month.

It would cost me 9 Euros. Meanwhile I found a shop in my country willing to deliver a 15 euro order, so it's still better than domestic options. But is this sure to seal it well enough? Thing is that it's not about how much I payed for the liquid and how it would be wasted, it's about the fact that if it spoils after the regulations apply, I'm probably going to have to buy small 20 mg bottles(hopefully unflavored) and dilute them 5x to 4 mg, but that would probably cost me quite a few times more than the 30 euro I paid for this bottle.

She also sells the chemnovatic nic (though to be some of the best in the world) and chemnovatic VG and PG (both of exceptional quality).
If you keep the order under a kilo, your shipping should stay at ~7€.

I do not work for, nor, am I affiliated with Yovapeo. Just a satisfied customer. :toast:
