When i bought my GG Grant off someone it was kinda dull looking. also there was something extra engraved on it. not the logo or the eagle. anyway i took 1500 grit wet dry sandpaper to it and i was carefull but put it on my drill at high speed. i had to be carefull not to put pressure on the logo but that is impossible. after the 1500 i switched to 2000 grit wet dry sandpaper and sanded it under water in the sink. again careful not to put too much pressure on the logo. anyway my Grant is shiny now. not as shiny as GGTS but shiny enough so it looks pretty good. but the logo doesnt stand out a lort like before but it stand out so i did lose some of the logo. i wouldnt go with my idea. i would try the jeweler idea and let them buff it it out.
