Can someone enlighten me about the benefits of TC?

And this is the one benefit of TC that I do very much appreciate. Thank you all.

I think I picked up a Sig Vmax mini for a whole whooping $15. If you put a over 1ohm SS430 build on it the VV mode with the SS 'self regulates' and provides a very decent vape.

    No, there are more.

    1) More puffs per ml of juice
    2) No dry hits
    3) No burnt wicks
    4) Longer lasting coils between cleanings
    5) Instant ramp up time
    6) Lower toxic levels inhaled
    7) No constant fiddling with wattage when switching to chain vaping
    8) If wattage set to the same as power mode, longer lasting batteries
    9) Larger selection of coil types and resistance range
    10) The ability to read the actual temperature of coils
    11) Freedom to vape either Power Dominant or Temperature Dominant

And I am sure there are more.

    Oh yeah...

    12) The ability to vape temperature sensitive juices

Just missed a BOGO on Zmax V3s @ 12.99. I got both mine a couple months ago for $9.99 ea shipped. But even in 18350 mode they're bulkier than I prefer. The Zs and my 26650 E-Huge have mostly been relegated to my Vapegeddon war chest. I do have my eye on sweet little 18350 Vamo 25w VV/VW box tho, dimensions nearly identical to my IStick mini 10w.

I sort-of don't understand. With a standard mod I can also adjust, say either Volts or Watts to get to a certain temperature/flavor experience. Obviously when I vape my Kayfun Lite at 13W the coil and also the vape is "cooler" than when I would vape at 20W.

So, now TC comes in and I have problems seeing what's so good about it. What is the benefit of it? What can a TC mod/mode do what I cannot do with a device where I can "only" adjust volts or wattage?

TC offers a more consistent experience, virtually eliminates dry hits, and makes it very difficult to ever burn your wicking. Imo the vapor produced by stainless steel wire tastes at least as good as any by kanthal.

Ymmv, but TC modes, (especially programmable TCR's), are more than a gimmick.

Yep TCR settings are necessary for best TC vaping. Different grades of stainless wire act differently in vaping.

    wirewirewirewirewire..........
    And heat flux

    I'm just sayin.
When attuned into the neighborhood of correct, TC is different.....quite different. And that's because of heat flux.
    Plus:
In a small format RBA or RTA or RDTA or genny or whatever, the benefits of ultra-low-res wire choices (which TC affords us) become distinctly awesome.

    Again, I'm just sayin.

If the two of you are interested in screaming deals on VV mods, I just saw some Provari 2.5's for $40 in the specials section of their website...

I do wish they'd go back to VV (at least as an option). Maybe it's just because I used mech's for so long, but I always find myself adjusting watts to give me right around 4-4.2 volts.

    Sorry, way off topic.

Prowhatee? No offense intended but I have to admit to being a P-thingy bigot. No reasonable reason for it. I just is.

Provari's are ok but for me my pair of 9.99 Sigeli Zamx V3's do the same job just fine.
I never expect to spend over $50 on a mod and so far the most I have spent on one is my VTC mini on Black Friday for $30.
I am also not big on long tube mods for out and about. Gimme a small single battery box mod.

Haha, completely understood. I used to be the same way, then one day I changed my mind. Not really sure why, though; didn't have any reason to dislike them before, don't really have any reason why I like them now
