I hope it is, because it was pretty good and I would like to do some experimenting. I took 4 blackberries and put them in a shot glass. Covered it in PG and put it in the microwave for 10 seconds. Then I placed the shot glass in a warm water bath for about 10 minutes. Used a coffee filter to strain the Pg from the fruit and used it as a DIY flavoring. It is not that strong so I used it at 30 percent in my recipe. Next time I would leave it longer in the warm water bath. Anyway, is there anything wrong with vaping this, hope not cause it is pretty good.

You might get more flavor if you put some plastic wrap over the shot glass and stick it in the fridge overnight to let the berries steep in the PG longer. Although, I do remember people saying you shouldn't store ejuice in the fridge, but I don't remember why.

This discussion brings up another thought: How high/long can you heat PG/VG? I'm thinking you could put some berries and PG and/or VG in a small saucepan and cook over low heat for a little while to break up the berries and extract more flavor, then strain through a coffee filter.

I should point out that I'm completely new to DIY. My starter kit won't even be here until tomorrow. But based on my experience as a cook, cooking the berries over low heat will extract the most flavor. I would also add a little lemon juice during the cooking, both for flavor and an acid component.

Anyway, definitely report back with what you discover. Good luck! :D

So glad someone asked this. I read a how to make fruit extracts recently and was wondering if it would work. But, like hoosier, I was concerned about the sugar content.

The following came from How would one go about making fruit extracts? - Yahoo! Answers
You dont need 100 proof vodka.
80 proof is fine but dont go lower.
however i woudnt get a cheap bottle
but rather a moderately priced bottle.
A descent vodka will not
have any flavor or bitterness.
Alternatively one could also use
a clear rum.

for either liquor
just simply wash and cut up the
fruit so it can fit into the bottle.
After you place the fruit in the bottle
you will notice that the fruit will float.
After about 2weeks to a month
all the fruit will sink to the bottom
of the bottle.

This is when the extract is ready.
And i would strain the fruit out
but it is not a necessity.
