Everyone mentions a hot water bath. It seems easier to me to set my food dehydrator at a low temperature (110, 115, etc). I have a very nice spacious food dehydrator & I'm all about using what I already have if possible (ie- skipping the USC if possible). It seems like a better, more stable idea than blasting bottles for a short time in the microwave and much easier than a hot water bath. It worked very well to melt the ethyl maltol crystals into a pg solution (10%) so I put all my test batch DIY bottles in there. I haven't tested many of them but it doesn't seem to have adversely effected them & they smell great. Do you see any reason using a food dehydrator might not be a good idea?
**edit**
I steeped with the caps on but maybe the evaporation for a short time would be ideal?
Ideas, Input?
