A lot of tanks will actually use a cartomizer that is punched or slotted in them. The carto is basically fed the liquid and kept wet, plus you obviously don't need to top off or fill that often. There are also tanks that incorporate a wick system and don't use the cartomizer. As long as they have the 510 threading (or eGo cone threaded) they will work on the KGO. Keep in mind that you may not want to use dual coil cartomizers in the tank with the KGO, stick with a single coil one for that (either a 2.0 or a 1.7 ohm). You can find tanks at many vendors to suit your needs and pre-punched cartos for the tanks at smoktek and crystal clear vaping.

Joyetech also refers to their eGo-C cartridges as tanks. These are my personal favorite, and I use them on KGO batteries.

Something like this or this (less expensive, but includes just one cone and atomizer) will work well.

The new eGo-C type "B" cartridges are also available here.

If you plan to try one of the above, I'd urge you to stay away from the knockoff brands; you do get what you pay for.

If you like cartomizers, I would recommend the Smoktech ego dual coil megas, or something similar like this.

Another favorite of EGO/KGO vapers are the SmokTech DCT (Dual Coil Tanks) like this.

And of-course, any 510 threaded cartomizer or tank will work just fine as well :)

Why is that? I've been using KGO with a dual coil carto (1.5 ohm) on my KGO ever since I got it. Let me/us know why dual coil isn't good for the KGO so that I can take some consideration to get another kind of hardware. Thanks in advance :2cool:

It's not that it isn't good for it, per se..Since the dual coil is really two 3 ohm coils in parallel it needs more power to get the most out of them, usually starting at 4.5-5 volts. The KGO is regulated at 3.7 volts and you really are not going to be getting anything out of the dual coils that you could (should).

Ah. Gotcha. I'll keep in mind for that. Thanks for the info. I have been venturing around for other hardware but there are soooo many of them and don't know what I should choose. I just ordered a dual coil 1.7ohm carto, hoping I'll be getting better vape for that. If not, I'll get the 2.0ohm. I just want to stop spending money on these things and stick with one type of hardware. So far, after 21 flavors of 3ml sample juice from Velvet Vapor, I've narrow my flavor down to just one juice. Now I gotta see what hardware is best for me.

For the KGO, try the single coil 1.7ohm resurrectors or the 2 ohm Boge cartos. Work great at 3.7 volts! It's difficult wanting to try many setups and finding that they are not for you, or something just doesn't go right. In time you will get where you are comfortable and happy, that's all you need. Just keep experimenting and find that fix! Vape on :vapor:

I haven't had a chance to read the replies and really absorb this, yet....but how do I know if the KGO is a type A or type B tank?

It will work with both.

Your KGO battery has both male and female threads allowing you to attach any EGO or 510 accessory. Both the type A and type B eGo tanks will work on any EGO threaded battery, including the KGO.

The new eGo-C Type B system uses larger cartridges (holds more e-liquid) and a slightly different atomizer. Since they're relatively new, you may want to hold off on these until more opinions start flowing in here- maybe others will chime in regarding this.

The eGo-C Type A system (the one I use) stores ~1ml of e-juice.

To make things even more confusing, you'll also find eGo-T items floating around. The eGo-T is the predecessor of the newer eGo-C model. Stick with the eGo-C ;)

If $50 is within your price range, I'd highly recommend the first link (this one) that I provided. Though I don't believe they're a registered forum supplier, they have excellent customer service and will work with you if you have any problems. I have no affiliation with them, but both my brother and myself have had nothing but positive experiences working with them. That said, I definitely would not buy my juice from them (yuk!) and instead check out the popular juice companies mentioned here at ECF.

With respect to Dual Coils, I agree with the previous poster, but I do like them because they seem to produce more vapor at a cooler temp - I'm not a big carto guy though, so not much experience to go on there. I can tell you though that dual coils will run your battery down a bit faster.

3-4 eGo-C Type A tanks and two KGO batteries get me through a day, vaping 18mg (former PAD smoker).

Best wishes!

I may want to try the dual coils to get a cooler cape. The majority of juices I've tried seem to burn my throat and although I love the taste of them, they are unvapable.:glare:

I haven't purchased the KGO yet. I should just bite the bullet and get it and order the extra dual coils and see how that goes and then worry about tanks and such. The tank concept is confusing me. I'm not sure what all I need to make it work and I don't want to spend 50 on an upgrade kit right now. Gonna try this and see how it goes. :thumb:
