Can we stop calling regular cigs "Analogs"?

Calling a traditional cigarette an "Analog" makes no sense. It sounds stupid every time I hear it.

Your vape rig is analog. It isn't processing 0s and 1s when you take a drag. It actually fits the definition of analog better than traditional cigarettes do. E-cigs aren't digital; just FYI.

0's and 1's are computers. A digital watch does not process 0's and 1's. Most ecigs especially APV's have circuit boards in them that pretty much makes them digital. They even have digital displays I. Some models.

Turning on and off does not make something digital or mean it is processing binary. For example, an analog synthesizer as opposed to a digital one.

With watches, you are comparing an analog one, to something that is actually digital.

If you want to complain about something, why don't you pick on AFCs? They have nothing to do with velocity, type or direction of air flow all it does is meter the amount of air going into the atomizer where it pretty much bounces around, gets stuck in blind pockets, goes all over the place and eventually gets sucked into your mouth.

Why not AVC (Air Volume) or AIC (Air Inlet) or even ASO (Air Shut Off)?

Digital watches DO process binary. If a battery has a digital display, then it is digital too. However, most don't.

No, it is not. That would make a light switch in your house digital, or a light bulb for that matter... There are lots of electronics that are analog. Digital means it processes binary.

Use the forum search box to discover the origins of the terminology. Read the roughly ~5K threads regarding it since then. After that, if you still think vapers don't deserve to use whatever words we want use to as descriptive, I will welcome your informed opinion and argument.

Analog doesn't have to refer to anything digital, it's used in a variety of ways. The English language is adaptive and constantly changing. That is why new editions of dictionaries are printed. Quick FYI, Ain't is now a word, and it is in the dictionary. Gay used to mean happy. Literally no longer means literally. The list goes on, but I digress.

Ok I quit ANALOGS just over one year ago, and have not had one ANALOG yet that makes me ANALOG free well at least ANALOG free for that time being.

Now when I see some one smoking an ANALOG, I sort of smile as I don't smoke ANALOGS anymore. Also while passing by an ANALOG smoking area man do those ANALOGS stink eh!

Why just the other day this fella asks me if I have an extra ANALOG, I says sorry but I don't smoke ANALOGS anymore, but If I did smoke ANALOGS I'd gladly give u one.

Now my sister she still uses ANALOGS, and she's happy with ANALOGS me I'd rather VAPE and avoid ANALOGS, u know what I mean.

But any ways ummm where was I? Oh yeah getting back on track right on OP, no more using ANALOG to describe ANALOGs anymore from me no sir no way about it ANALOG is now gone from my repertoire of words yep ANALOG free that's me.....
