Can we stop calling regular cigs "Analogs"?

Not really a grammar thing, but my new favorite pet peeve is when I'm watching a television show and someone says " I'm weary about crossing that river." or "shes a tough competitor and one to be weary of."

Weary is tired.

Leery is the word you're looking for folks!

How can you be tired of something that you've never done? The last example is insulting to the speaker as well as the person they're referring too.

I believe the word they're looking for (and possibly saying) is "wary".

You guys make fun of us Grammarians...but you know, we didn't ask to be this way. I see the Zoid, running around mocking me with his seemingly random use of CAPS. The fact of it is, we are OCD about grammar. I wish I could turn it off, I really do! I have to use tricks like the ones in this blog:

I read stuff like this, just to keep my tortuously tenuous grip on sanity.

Its not easy.

This is so funny!

I may not be perfect with grammar, punctuation and spelling usage but I agree. It can be torment to read what random internet people type.

Spelling should almost be a no brainer since every modern browser has a built in spell check. Grammar and punctuation are still a big problem. My own personal battle is with the Swype keyboard on my tablet often deciding I wanted a completely different word. The worst of which it nearly always enters "our" when I try to Swype "or".

By the way if spelling and grammar really bother you, I would suggest never playing MMO type video game. The spelling in those is so bad anyway and when you add leet speak on top of that it can drive an OCD Spelling person insane.
