Can we talk PG and VG ?

I mix 30/70 PG/VG for myself & 50/50 for my better half. FWIW, I've gotten PG/VG from ED, BA, RTS & BCF. All are USP, some Kosher USP. Some VG has been soy based, others palm based. I haven't experienced any noticeable differences. YMMV...

To reiterate what I had said.. if your having breathing or coughing difficulties now, it might be because what your inhaling is food grade, and there is pharmaceutical grade.
The best grade is something that is difficult for anyone but a manufacturer to obtain, and that is a synthetic pharmaceutical grade. (Which is called Dow Optim)

After researching cost and finding out that I can get Essential Depot PG and VG in gallons from Amazon for around $28 vs a quart for $13 it's a no brainer. Both are Prime, so no shipping charge.
OTOH, Bulk Apothecary price is about $10 cheaper per gallon. The shipping for 2 gallons of PG and 1 gallon of VG is $13.55. It's still cheaper than Amazon by a long shot. $69 Bulk Apothecary including shipping vs $85 Amazon (w/ free 2 day shipping). That's for 2 gallons of PG and 1 gallon of VG.
One order would last me way over a year. I've been through several quarts each of PG and VG in almost a year and still have 2 PG and 1 VG left unopened.

I've used Essential Depot (like it,) MFS (like it,) NOW brand from Akins health food store locally (like it but it's expensive,) and Walmart (like it fine but it's expensive.) I've been DIYing for years and years (6+) so I can't remember what store-bought juice even tastes like. I can't tell any difference it the taste of any of the different VGs. I have a gallon of PG that I got at Southern Agriculture (locally) that has lasted me for years since I use little to none in my mixes.
That $16 difference is why I've been talking about the cost savings realized by going with BA, compared to ED...for about the last year at least. I wouldn't have been doing that though, if the quality wasn't great IMO, but it is!
With that $16 saved...you could buy another tank or 2, or some more boxes of coils, or several roles of wire, or 2 4oz. bottles of some flavorings, etc.!
I hadn't checked out BA before, always was with ED. May just have to give BA a shot next order, hey 16 bucks is 16 bucks!
$16 is about 3 rolls of coil wire or 3 new 18650's if you shop right. ( Carrying on JC's analysis).
I have always used WL vg and pg, never with any issues. But from what yall are posting may be worth venturing out of my comfort zone.

Interesting information, This made me curious about the VG/PG I use, I order from wizard labs, this is posted on their VG page
Minimum 99.7% purity USP grade Kosher certified Vegetable Glycerin suitable for use as a carrier base and dilutant for Wizard Labs organic Nicotine solutions. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning concerning glycerin produced from the Jatropha plant which can contain toxins, including phorbol esters, that naturally occur in the plant. All of our vegetable-derived glycerin is 100% sourced from palm fruit, and does not contain any Jatropha plant or derivatives.
