can you make a mod out of

just wondering if a mod can be made out of
epoxy resin or polyester resin like they use
for the pen blanks when they make pens
make a mould, pour in the resin,and fit the
workings

I have seen something similar. On YouTube a channel by the name of SteelJan has a video which shows you everything you need to do to build a mod with radioshack parts. Im guessing if you follow that, with a resin shell you made, it should just be plug and play.

shure it works ..stay away from polyester and use epoxy . I am using a certified food grade epoxy now .making a complete unit ...from battery holder ..to a new atty ...and outer shell in carbon fiber. the atty will be a genesis style of a new design ...is about 90 % complete.

Ok ,may I ask why stay away from polyester resin ,do you have any links as to where to get this from

the reason is they are very smelly !!epoxy works nice for me ..the reason for food grade is for the attys I am working on.. the resin is on ebay it is max clr-hp . also on ebay I got food grade mold making silicone you can google makeyourownmols.com. there are cheaper epoxys if you don't need food grade.
