i just tried some 5 pawns juice, and another top shelf juice, and they were amazing. Can a DIY make juice of that caliber at home or is that more of a lab thing.
Yep you sure can. I have been DIY for longer than most of the shops so I should be able to by now. Actually it didn't take that long to get it down. I use water soluble flavoring only that is really a good start right there.

I love Gambit so the 5 pawns site says: "...All flavors are organic and we use only the finest ingredients sourced domestically and locally. All liquid is made in the state of California. Our liquid blends are comprised of 50% VG / 50% PG. Our flavors are extracted from actual base ingredients and we offer 0mg, 6mg, 12mg, 18mg and 24mg nicotine levels..."
Please help me understand this issue. Exactly which vendor with the url will sell me "exstractions from actual base ingredients" ??
I probably have 75 flavors from the usual sources like TFA, Hangsen, LorAnn etc and enjoy the DIY journey a great deal. However, I have a VERY hard time believing that these boutique high end juice vendors perform their own fruit, cake, etc extractions. The economy of scale just doesn't compute for me but I could be wrong and have been in the past. I'm NOT referring to NET or vanilla beans in particular.

They are probably using FLAVOR WEST. Which are high end water soluble flavorings, you can download their MSDS (material Safety Data Sheets) here if you are interested. I have been using their flavorings for about 5 years now and can't say enough about them.

Well it seem there are alot of people who can make top shelf juices here. So if i may ask what are the things i need to do to, or what are the things that distinguish a real top shelf juice from the typical juices.
