rda base? Not sure what you mean. I have a Magma, Hobo, Mephisto v3 that I use on the istick 50w. It's all a matter of the ohms your build is. I would recommend not going lower than .4 . It's still vapeable at .2, but not very satisfying. It also depends on what you're looking for. Are you a cloud chaser or a flavor chaser? Does a deep well matter? And so many other variables.

I use my doge v2 on my iStick 30w all the time. Its just a matter of building within your parameters. The 30w can only go down to .4 ohms so I never build anything lower than .6 (Im paranoid about safety) when using the 30w. I hebelieve the 50w can handle .3 ohms. Just build within your tolerance.

Ive never bought an authentic RDA so I dont know if it will make a difference but i have 4 clones and all of them work just fine on my iStick

You can use an RDA on the iStick 50 watt but be aware that there are many reports of the iStick 50 watt "autofiring" due to juice getting in the 510 connection. So if you get an RDA that is prone to leaking you many want to reconsider using it on your iStick 50 watt.

I have 2 iStick 50 watts that occasionally do this even when only using RTA's on them.

Buy whatever you can afford clone vs authentic.

I recommend El Cabron, Freakshow , Tug Boat V2. It gives me good balance of flavor and vapor production.

My builds are usual tethering around .3 and never lower, so your istick will do fine.

I'm on a plum veil clone at .3 ohm, dual coil build and I'm vaping at 90w. I would not recommend using an iStick on all .3 ohm build. Single coil sure. But not a dual coil. Too much coil for a puny 50w to push it.

Also, IMO, the El Cabron makes clouds and very little flavor. I would not recommend it with an iStick either.

Just my .02.

Heck,I run some of my drippers on my MVP20w.
Granted I'm not subohming,but....1.2ohms magma on 18 watts=mmmmm....:thumb:

You can run a coil at 18 watts if there is a small amount of coil for the device to heat up, easily in fact. A small single coil can be ran from 18-22 watts and produce a really good vape.

(not as good as dual-coil though :)

I get pretty decent flavor off my with my Sig 150 and my El Cabron, but I'll be honest, I was surprise that it does get good balance of vape and flavor out of it since it was meant for pushing clouds. I never push 60 watts/4.2v on this dual coil setup.
