Hey folks. Just like it says, i'm looking on how to get these little fellers apart cause i need the battery connector of the dead battries. If you can point me to a tutorial or just tell me HOW you do it, that would help me a lot. I've had very little luck getting them to come apart (read NO LUCK, lol!)

Thanks,

Sachi

PS, sooner the better. I'm going out of town tomorrow and wont be able mod till i get back. I am making 2 of my "Ghetto Boxes" As back ups on our trick. Its a variation on the PUCK but its only one box with a master on off switch abd an attomizer. Thats it. I didnt have TWO boxes, so i had to improvise. I'd really like to complete my brothers Ghetto Box and my buddies before leaving tomorrow so we have backups and my buddy can avoid analogs while i'm gone before i can build something nicer and less Ghetto.

PS, 4 AAA nihm batts totally hits like a ton of bricks but lost a loooong time and charges lightning quick. The puck really is a great idea.

I usually use a dremel with a diamond blade and slice the case long ways and pry the case open with a small sharp screw driver. A easyer way for most ( but can be hard on the connector threads ) is to have a threaded rod and screw it in and use a circular motion to loosen the connector and just pull it out. The 3rd way can render the connector useless, you can take a hammer and beat the crap out of it till submission.

I can make you a 510 threaded rod if you want one. Just throw me a message.

I had a battery die recently and was thinking about doing the same thing. I checked around and saw some people saying to cut it open with a dremel and saw one guy who was able to wiggle the connection out pretty easily (might have been on youtube). He happened to have an air hose connector that had the same thread size. It was a sort of long thing that gave some leverage. He screwed it on, and wiggled it back and forth while pulling. Didn't look too hard. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I was going to check the hardware store for a bolt with the right threads.

Edit... I'm too slow at typing. Sort of a pointless post now. :)

If you have no tools to work with but a pair of pliers and a strong hand its doable. Start at the opposite end where the grey tip is and take that off. If you have needle nose pliers, pull out the little board with the LED and next will be the battery. Then start to peel the metal back almost tearing it in a circular motion. I almost wrap the metal around the pliers to have a little more stability. Just keep doing this until you're done.
