Worst case they will "return to sender".

a couple of points:
1. Did the sender have previous experience sending to Canada?
2. Are the juice bottles labeled as to Nic content?
3. CHeck out the Rainbow Vapor web site it will give you a link to a "legal advice" page. Caution it is not advice drawn up by lawyers but by a team of two great people (Cindy and Brenda) who have the scars from these battles to give you an understanding of where you might stand Legalities

just had an order refused by cbsa and health canada last week. order shipped from florida aug 6. got stuck in customs at St. Laurent. on aug 14th. they held on to it for a month before sending it back to the shipper. rec'd letter from HC around the 24th of august stating they would suggest to cbsa it be refused as it contained nic. luckily i contacted te supplier yesterday and they did a full refund of my $171 to my visa. sadly this will be the end of my attempting to import from the states as it's my 2nd shippment in less than 2 years to be refused.

Once they find one shipment, you can bet you're name and address is on a list somewhere for future shipments.

Yeah that's what I figured. Last time I had one stopped though was January 2012. Have had easily 6 shipments from same vendor since then that got to me no problem. Either way, I'm done with US suppliers now. There's plenty of reliable vendors up here now and B&M popping up all over the place too. I just wish HC would pull their heads out of the sand though and say something new. They say there's not been enough done to study e-cigs.....then bloody we'll study them yourselves already then!! We need to demand more from them, cause at the end of the day, they work for us. Or at least they're supposed to. So frustrating.

There are, indeed, a goodly number of hardware suppliers in Canada with competitive prices and I always give my business to such great firms as Canvapes.

However, the price of unflavoured nic is high compared to the typical US-based supplier. I was just pricing up 120mL 48mg nic for DIY - the price per mL is fractionally cheaper for Canucks buying 48mg.

Once you get into 60-100mg, the US price-per-mL comes crashing down. One can buy 2x120mL 100mg bottles for US$76 (includes shipping) - that's 7.9cents/mL at 25mg - from the biggest US supplier. The best Canuck deal, however, puts the price at 11.3cents/mL at 25mg.

Knowledge of better deals would be appreciated!

Got my order from AVE with no problems. So did my brother, a day earlier. Neither of us have ever had a package refused.

That being said, I do wonder once they have a name or address from a previous refused package perhaps a red flag pops up, but not sure if their computer software has this feature once the package is scanned. Or is it a random thing?

Does anyone know if they actually take the stuff out and test it, or if they just look at the bottles/packing slip/receipt to determine the nicotine content? I placed an order from MOV about a month ago, and it arrived at Customs Nov. 13th. Canada Post still shows the package as "sent to customs for further processing"... Going on week 3 now that it's been there. The thing is, I know that MOV marks all the bottles 0mg as well as the receipt and packing slip, so I figure they're either just being dicks and holding it for no reason, or they're testing it. Really hoping it's not the latter. I've been vaping for about a year and a half, and this is the first time I've ever had anything held at customs for more than a couple days, feeling a bit anxious about it.
