Nope. How can they stop batteries from coming in? Is the vendor going to refund your order expense? You should also be getting a letter from Customs explaining why your order was refused entry.
Sounds fishy to me.
Sometimes Chinese customs will pull packages with batteries in them and send them back to the shipper. This happened to me last month. From what I hear they're at it again. It's probably not Canada customs that's the issue here, but Chinese (unless you're ordering from the US)
The reason for them stopping shipments going out is because 99% of the stuff manufactured in China is exported, therefor they do this for "World Safety" or at least to show they do care...somewhat.
This is just what I was told.
...and thisThere's a lot of talk these days about the safety of lithium batteries and whether they should be allowed through regular mail and as air cargo, and not just e-cig batteries. Although last year there was a fire in the cargo hold of a fed ex plane started by a shipment of e-cigs:

My understanding is that ground orders are fine, but they have to fly out of China, and this is where the return to sender is coming from. Not the Chinese perse, but the carrier.Sometimes Chinese customs will pull packages with batteries in them and send them back to the shipper. This happened to me last month. In this particular case yes. I agree. However there is a movement afoot, and you provided the link and it is being discussed elsewhere, that LI Ion batts may no longer ship via normal air courier, unknowingly. In the long run what does that mean, higher prices.
