@Annon011 - My very first nic base purchase from a vendor here in the US...was just (120mL) of 24mg/mL in 100% VG. I wanted to get used to working with it, make a few eliquids with it, and find out if I even liked to DIY...before buying any of the 100mg/mL nic base.

It worked out great, and I found out I loved DIY. Now all the nic base I buy is the 100mg/mL in 100% VG. Whatever mg/mL you work with, just using some common safety sense in working with it and storing it...will be fine. Getting even a few drops of the 100mg/mL on you won't hurt you...if you just wash it off with soap and water. No Hazmat protection is needed to DIY, nor panic is necessary in the event of the above. Many make their eliquids on a flat pan or tray that has very low sides. That way, even if a spill happens with your eliquid and/or the nic base...it's all contained on the pan or tray. Just wash the pan or tray very well in the sink with dish-washing liquid and water!

You want to sue Canada Customs because they seized Your illegal goods? Wow. Good luck with that. Importing eLiquid into Canada is illegal. Period.

Sucks to be you, but you got caught and your eLiquid will be confiscated if it contains nicotine and you will lose your $$$ and juice. It won't be released to you so kiss it goodbye.

Previous shipments you recieved weren't inspected so you got lucky. Now you are flagged and any future shipments to your address or under your name will be inspected and seized if it is eJuice.

No point ranting as you are wrong and CBS is right.

Personally, if I need US juice I have it shipped to a US hotel when I travel. Bringing it back in a car or via air travel seems to be fine as well. Having it shipped to you is a big no no.

By the way one more question, is there any possibility for my juice to be seized when crossing borders on a plane ?

Previous years I just went to Mexico , but this year I will be going to Europe and will be crossing at least 3 countries .
Not really. If the customs person wants to be a goof, it could be seized but very unlikely.

I have came back into Canada with a dozen or so 30mls in my luggage (searched) and there was no problem. It seems personal consumption if it is on your person is fine.

P.s. VJuice is pretty good for super cheap CDN juice. $12CAD for so for 60ml IIRC.

I've been purchasing from MTB for 3 years now , only once did I had a shipment denied.

Sorry but my local eliquids suck.

The only juice I like is from MTB

Also , if you can't ship eliquid this nicotine from other countries , how do vape shops get theirs ?

If I am going to have to register myself as an actual business or something , I have no problem doing that, all I know is that I want my juice by the end of the month , and if I dont get it , I am going off , doesn't matter who is on the other end of the phone and what their position might be.

I use some American liquids in Canada.

The distributor will drive to the US and bring in big quantities with 0 nicotine. Then once in Canada, they will add the nicotine.

For other Canadians in this thread, we have a lot of good choices in Canada for cheap juice. I just bought 240ml of Miranda from http://bargainejuice.ca for $30. The equivalent in the Naked juice I normally buy from a B&M would be $120.

**** that site is really good and has one my flavors , vanilla custard 120ml for 15 is really good , only problem is that all their juices are max VG , if only they had 50 / 50 at least .

Buying US juice and CBSA customs has always been a roll of the dice. You may have had good luck but this time its snake eyes. I use to order American juice but sometimes it went through and sometimes it went for further processing but that was over 2 years ago, I DIY now but still get my Nic from a Canadian source. With the FDA cracking down along with Canada regulating ecigs its going to become more and more seizures and returns at the borders using the postal system. Like said before, lots of great juices in Canada, too bad its the shipping charge that sucks but at least you'll get your juice unlike ordering out of country and loosing the money cause you didn't read the fine print on the website that says no refunds for out of country purchases.

I still might get them, especially the second package , I've had almost every package this last year sent for further processing but they alway got cleared in a few days , maximum 2 weeks .

Another thing that is worth mentioning . I ALWAYS used to write a note in my order , saying something like " I really hope my package doesn't get stuck in customs again, last time I had to wait a month " and they always got cleared in a few days.

On the one that's been stuck for a month a half, I didn't write this note. I wrote it however on my most recent order, which has been stuck for a few days now , lets see what happens .

Becoming a business will do nothing other than cost you money, and if it's not a legitimate business, they may notice that.

If you are very nervous then yeah, import some nic base that's 24, that's way lower and you can easily put the correct amount into your 0 nic juice, I promise you won't die. Or if you do, it won't be from nicotine poisoning. I use 100 ml/mg all the time, but if you are worried, reduce it.

If you have one shipment held up, it won't stop there. All your shipments may be held up from now on, if you've had other shipments detained by customs, they're probably trying to figure out if you are selling some of it, so being a buisness owner in that situation is.... Unsafe.

And, like it or not, if Mount Baker vape becomes Mt Vaper books for you? They know the laws, and they're not going to risk their license over it. Also, maybe you need to ship your nic base to someone who isn't currently in detention status and processing... If you have a good friend or relative, you might ask them to recieve it, if the penalty is low enough. But, trust me on this, if you buy nic base now it would only bolster their suspicion of you selling stuff... which you don't want.

My thoughts on this are let it sit and see what happens and find some vape that is at least marginally not distasteful, then see if they send you a letter and return shipments, or not.
