To Tink -- strange your experience with the iclear 16's. I received 5 of them when I ordered my itaste and so far I've used 4 and pretty consistently over the past oh 6 weeks or so (I rotate all of them all day long) and I haven't had 1 leak on me yet. I'm actually pleasantly surprised by them. So far I must say the iclear's and the Aspires are doing really really good and "juice delivery" has been the hardest part for me anyways. Well that and OF COURSE finding an ADV.
innokin is known for fixing model issues on the fly, so if they find out that people have a problem with leaking tanks, the next revision is generally improved. My VTR arrived last week with a lot of minor improvements, and my iclear 30s doesn't leak like has been reported either.

I wonder how all the Chinese people fare in their country? With everything said they must be dying off left and right? No? My word makes that country sound scary as ever!

Anyway I have nothing when it comes to juice I'm still on the hunt so weirdly enough this thread which I have been reading and has provided me some entertainment on an incredibly slow workday has also been very informative -- for those of u I say thank u!

Don't get me wrong. I'm an Innokin fan. I've got 2 MVP 2's and 2 VV v3's. Well, I've got one of each because hubby stole one of each.... As far as devices go, Innokin has delivered and even most of their clearos are great. The only issue I've ever had were with iClear 16's. I was always able to figure out why, and I was always able to fix it, it's just that compared to other clearos I've had they just seem to be more fiddly. I've never had an issue with my iClear 30, but I've seen a lot of people here who seem to. The iClear 30b and 16b are great, and are my favorite clearos of all. Over all, I like carto tanks the best. I just got my first few, and I'm in love.

No problem. I think they're more helpful with juice reviews then others, as multiple people try it on multiple devices. They drip, use rebuildables, use clearos and cartos....

CAUTION: 1. Some reviews are paid for by the vendor and therefore may not represent a truly independent view of the product. In some cases they are a form of advertising - and adverts don't tell you what is wrong with the product.
2. Reviewers' websites may contain affiliate links, and an enthusiastic review might lead you to click a link and then purchase the product. This results in paying a fee to the reviewer (called an affiliate commission). While most reviews may be accurate and independent, we cannot guarantee this is always the case.
3. E-Liquid reviews are entirely subjective. You may get different results. If you follow a reviewer with similar tastes to your own, you may get a more satisfactory outcome.

That's actual where I'm probably going next: carto tanks. Most people claim they're the best. I've tried SO many clearo's it's crazy. I noticed you said IBtanked, I checked them out before when looked some up...which one did you end up grabbing? And I assume BOGE cartos?

When it comes to vaping, I have made peace with the fact that you'll never find an e-juice, or any kind of e-cig device setup that can perfectly mimic that taste and feel of a cigarette.

Mainly because of a few reasons already posted,

1) there is no combustion so there's no smoke, it's pretty much impossible to have a vape that tastes like a cig.
2) A lot of these "tobacco" flavored juice don't come from tobacco, you have probably noticed it's more nutty than tobacco-y, same goes for menthol, a lot of these "menthol" e-juices are just mint, wintergreen, spearmint, etc.
3) You can't dedicate your vaping experience and limit yourself to 1 or 2 flavored e-juices. Vape on the same thing too much, and you won't even be able to taste what you're vaping. It's really important to have a variety of different flavors.

How does it affect the taste? (never tried it; not sure Halo G6 counts)

I've only tried the Smoktek cartos. They were out of stock on Boge when I ordered. I got the 19mm, standard length tanks with the colored, anodized end caps. Got a total of three complete tanks. Two I did the colored paint on and one plain with just black end caps in case hubby winds up liking them and decides to steal one. It's what he does. I need to order at least one extra from what I want, or he'll just take it all.

I think the G6 is a cartomizer system. Cartos can dry out fast and it affects taste. Something will start out tasting great in them, but it the taste drops off in cartos. Carto tanks are glass tanks that go around the cartos. The cartos themselves are punched or slotted to allow more liquid in from the tank. This way, the carto is always full and moist. They last longer and the taste remains for longer.

Just about all of us go though the initial search for something we used to like in our cigarette/tobacco of choice.

The majority of eliquids however are really taste based, and not smell based; your tastebuds are going to start changing though, once you get off the smoke and tar, so don't spend too much money buying too much eliquid while your tastebuds are still changing.

I keep some high nicotine cigar flavored eliquid in a small clearo to compensate for my craving for a good Camel, but my main vape is on low nicotine mixes in protanks. I tend to mix and dilute the eliquids I bought to get them useable.

And as for steeping, for somebody new to vaping I recommend completely avoiding made to order stuff that require steeping; that's for much later when you actually know what you want.

I've just scanned through the responses, but I see a lot of very good ones. I think it is a good idea not to try and replicate your analog smoking experience, but to know that you are just trying to replace it with something different. And you may find that the replacement becomes more enjoyable than the habit you are replacing. At least that is what I'm starting to find for myself.

I'm also on the hunt for flavors that I will enjoy. During the recent sales, I purchased a bunch of different flavors to try different things out. I originally enjoyed the RY4 mixes, but now find myself enjoying other flavors a little more, such as vanillas, hazelnuts, custards... I've tried a few fruit flavors, but I don't find them as enjoyable at the moment. Although I have read some posts where people's tastes changed over time. Maybe I will find these more enjoyable in a few months when my taste buds are tired of the current favorites.

I'm sure someone else has mentioned it, but hopefully your town has a vape shop that has samples of their flavors that you can try out. Vape shops seem to be popping up everywhere. At least it seems that way in my town.

Good luck in your search.

Absolutely. Gotto say I hate menthol analogs \ cigarettes but just tried a bottle of Subzero and I cannot believe I am okay with it. Open mind seems to be the key...

I discovered the same thing; hated menthol cigarettes; but with ecigs, I found menthol a bit more than tolerable; not my preference, but usable; experimenting between the tobacco and menthol disposables that were available at my local pharmas, I found I preferred the menthol.

But as somebody else pointed out, it seems more like a 'mint' than a menthol in ecigs.

I chose to get away from trying to find a juice that has the taste of tobacco and went to a spearmint. Loved it. I found
Halo's Kringle's Curse (peppermint candy) and loved it even more. The tobacco ones I tried just left me hanging because they tasted nowhere near what I was looking for in the beginning. Now that I have given up on them and ventured into other areas, I don't even want to look for anything that is remotely close to tobacco flavor. This is my personal opinion as your tastes are yours. I just wanted to share what worked for me. Haven't had an analog in almost 5 weeks and don't even miss them. In fact, I am not a fan of the smell now. Hope this helps you. Keep trying and the local Vape bar is a great suggestion. Most have sample bars and you can find one that hits you right. Everyone does it with wine, why not vapor?? :headbang:

Hello, this is my first post on ECF so I'll assume you won't give my opinion any weight, but here goes anyway:

I work at a local B&M Vape shop, and we carry two brands: Revolution Vapor and EC Blends. Both have a wide variety of flavors and their pricing is very reasonable.

However, I personally have started ordering from online companies, and my favorite at this point is Highbrow Vapor. The main thing I like about my Highbrow Vapor is that all the flavorings are 100% natural. This makes a big difference (to me, at least) in the quality of taste. Their Orange tastes just like biting into a fresh orange. I have not tried any of their tobacco blends yet.

I have also tried some stuff from Mt. Baker, Mister E-liquid, and Halo. Honestly I like Halo the least of these 3, but YMMV. Also, FYI, JC is the same stuff they put in Blu ecigs. Happy vaping and good luck finding the Holy Grail, the perfect analog-flavored vape!

I just tried sunset cavendish from hurricane vapor. I don't normally vape tobacco flavors but this flavor is spot on. It tastes like real tobacco with a hint of caramel. I have been vaping it all day. They have several other award winning tobacco flavors. If a tobacco flavor is what you are after I would try the sunset cavendish. They are offering a free 5 ml sample with every order using the promo code on the top of their site right now. I would also recommed the gelatta dulce. These guys make awesome juice. Several award winning flavors. I just bought a big bottle of gelatta dulce it is sooo good. Plus they steep all their juice before they sell it so it is good right out of the mail and fast shipping
