So almost 3 years ago I started to use e-Cigs... and haven't touched cigarette since. I was really into it and I was also a registered supplier on here.

Things happened in my life and I went offline for a while.. I also just reverted back to buying the NJOY packs and refills from 7/11.

Two weeks ago I was looking at how much I was going through the $20 7/11 carts, almost 1 pack every day or slightly more and thought about proper E-cigs again.

So I came back on the forum... and wow! I can't believe how much everything has changed. There were never tanks, or any real reliable variable voltage mods around.. and the e-liquids have become so much better quality.. it's crazy!

Anyway, I purchased myself an Apollo Vtube and Vivi Nova tank and I am back to loving it!

I just can't believe how far this community has come in nearly 3 years!!

I tried vaping back when everything had to be ordered from china - and dropped it because of my difficulties. I came back this year and I could not be happier.
batteries that last all day..
tanks that last all day...
no burny taste
easy accessibility
flavor flavor flavor!
no international shipping charges or waiting, waiting, waiting....

and...omg...the vapor!

I really can't imagine what it must have been like 2-3 years ago. Having only been vaping for about 7 months, I've seen some rapid changes with new products coming out every month.

However, most of these appear to be rushed into the market prematurely. It appears the Chinese manufacturers and distributors are in a very competive market against each other, and don't wait to perfect their products for the consumer. Quality contol for even the older tried and true products (cartomizers) seem to be suffering lately, also.

On the other side of the coin, the rest of the world appears all too willing to put their hard earned money on these poorly designed, poorly manufactured, and inadequately tested devices. I would gladly pay twice the money for something American made of quality that works right out of the box and required no custom fiddling for it to work right. DOA equipment is a PITA. Ordering a dozen of cartomizers or a 5-pack of ce3s or clearomizers and having 1/3 of them leak, break, or DOA is just not acceptable to me, especially when we must order this stuff online and deal with shipping costs to boot.

That's my rant for the day....maybe.

Congratulations & Welcome back! The evolution of the eCig is something to marvel at isn't it? I guess that's why I keep hanging around

Rebuildable coils are a lot more fuss for nothing. But it looks good on video.
Uhhhh....says you... RBA's are a world of difference between any other kind of atomizer.

Edit: That is IF you put the time in to learn to do it right. Just because you may have a working genesis, doesn't mean it's working well. If you've used a genesis and it was not a world of difference between anything you've used before, then you didn't wrap it correctly.

Why bother when 6$ buys a great dripping atty that lasts for months.

I've only been vaping for half as long, but to be honest my observation has been that the more things change, the more they stay the same.
The hottest new mod on the market this week is a simple (but beautiful) little 3.7v mechanical mod. RBA's are nothing more than 'do it your self' 510 atties. You still drip it or bottom feed it just like we always have.

Completely agree. I have only been vaping about 6 or so weeks, but can not thank these forums enough. I was able to miss out on buying a lot and went for what worked the best for everyone. Without the forums I think I would have been in the same boat of trying what is all hyped and spending a lot more. I was able to invest early and now enjoy.

Some things change and others forever remain the same. ;) We still need a battery holder and a juice delivery system and juice just like we did before. Quality control of what comes out of China sucked back then and it still isn't good. :glare: Whats changed is all the different options for each of these categories today on the market verses what was on the market in past years. There are so many more vendors today selling juice and either reselling china products or products from other countries or selling products that are now being made here in the US.

As a newbie it was hard enough to choose between what was on the market a few years ago to start with but compared to today I know I'd find it much harder today if I was just now trying to decide where to start.

Congrats on your three years op :)

This industry has grown so much in just 4 years that I have a hard time keeping up.
I started with a pin style DSE801,then moved to a mini DSE108 then went to a DSE901. It took me a while before I tried that new fangled Joye 510.
I remember buying 10 packs of battery's from China, only to have half of them DOA. Anybody remember all the hoops that we had to jump through to get carts to work?
Choices are harder to make today then back when I started but the chance of getting bad product is almost non-existent.
Personally I think the U.S. vendors today are what have made the product as good as it is. They have the ability to hold Chinese suppliers accountable for poor quality.
Sorry about the rant, just remembering all the crap we had to put up with.
