Can't figure out my own coils

Hi All. I have tried a few times to make my own coil, but it always ends up tasting like crap. I just switch back to the disposable atomizers at that point and forget about it .. but this time I would like to figure it out!

I will have to whip back out my kits, but I would like to seek your help here in getting the build right. Can you guys help me figure this out??

3. Wire gauge and material
4. Wick material

Also, what "disposable" atomizers are you using currently?

Are you using a coil calculator like vape tool or steam-engine? VT is easy and Steam will help understand.

We can't help without knowing what you want and what you have to work with to get there.

Hey Guys! Thanks for the responses. Let me get you some info...

• Kanger KBOX Mini-C (goes up to 50W)
• Gemini rta
• I have 26 and 28 AWG kanthal; Can acquire different if needed
• Cotton Bacon wick
• Coil Master to make things easy as possible

I have been using 0.5 ohm clapton coils with success in my Kanger tank. I am not married to any coil or material in particular, would just like to get a build that fits my taste and frees me from the expense of disposables.

I have made a successful coil or two before, but had many more failures. Even the 'successful' coils tended to kick my ... ... or my lungs I should say. Too much vapor or too hot or something, I could not handle more than one or two puffs before dying.

I have seen the coil calculators but not used them much. I think I was just following instructions, but it has been a while since I tried. I bought an ohm meter, but I am not sure if its worth a crap or if I can even find it now heh.

Ok try 8 wraps of either on a 3mm core..... start with the mod set to about 15watts.....
With either of those wires to get performance like the clapton you will need to build kinda on the higher ohm side or go with multi wire or multi coil builds.

Does it taste like Crap (burnt, dry, etc), or just not as good as your clapton prebuilts?

Typical roundwire builds are pretty bland to my tastes once you used claptons.
