Ok so I ordered an X2 650 and a clearomizer plus some liquid on 7/9/2012. Well it finally arrived yesterday :) I was excited to ditch the pack of cigs I have picked up again since I have been without a functional e-cig for a while. I charge the battery on the computer using the usb cord provided. I filled up my clearomizer making sure not to go over the 1.5ml mark.

At one time I may have overfilled and I could hear a gurgling sound slightly so I cleaned it out and blew out all the juice. It was fine. Vaped on it for a bit and it was not as warm as the smaller volt cigs. The battery lasted only 2 hours?? So I hook it back up to the pc and this morning as I am working from home, fill my clearo up again and battery LED went away so it must be charged.

Hook it up again to the clearo and take some puffs. Very very little vapor at all. After say 9 drags battery is dead again. So I tried my small volt battery that came with the started kit using the clearomizer and I got also very very little vapor.

I'm baffled on what is going on?

I don't have any tools on me to check resistance. I only used it yesterday after charging for about maybe 2 hours total but taking breaks in between. I just tried again and battery seems charged and fine but I get a slight plastic taste with the clearo being filled too. Tried the smaller battery again and could not pull anything even though that one seems charged too.

if the batteries are charged it sounds like it may be defective...did you by chance order more then one clearo to try?

Two obvious suspects here, the battery or the clearo. Easiest to check is the clearo IF you have an ohmeter. It should read around 2.6 ohms, plus or minus. If it's lower than that, time for another one. If it does measure OK, it can either be the battery, or the USB port on yourPC or try a wall charger. If you have another battery try that, both charging and on the clearo. If all else fails you'll need to get another setup . SI is very good with customer service so maybe open a ticket with them as well. I am surprised that your order took so long to get, I'm in NJ and have gotten my orders in 3 days or less, so far.

Nope I only ordered one so far since it was my first time trying these, wanted to see if I would like them first. Tried another pc and a wall adapter; battery LED lights up for couple of minutes and then it shuts off, meaning it should be charged. Hooked up the clearo to the charging battery and still could not drag anything.

I'm not sure what took so long to get here, usps always seems slow in philadelphia,pa.

I am really sorry :( It is just bad luck unfortunately... the cartos work on the X2 if you have any of those... If you email customer service they will take care of the issue... if it will keep you from analogs tell them I ok'd them to express you out a replacement at our cost.

Another thought, since it's and X2, you can leave it plugged in to the USB port while vaping, it's a "pass through". There is some risk, if the clearo is shorted, of overloading the USB port, but the internal protections of the PC SHOULD, and I stress SHOULD, protect it from damage.

the X2 does not work like a regular passthrough it just chargers the batt while you vape... a completely dead X2 will still need a min or 2 to be ready to use as a passthrough as the batt has to have some charge...that is why the 1.5a wall adapter is recommended so you do not outpace the charge...

Also I believe he stated he tried it on a standard batt as well and no dice.

correct... CS will take care of it ASAP just drop them a line on our contact us page.

Yeh when I try it on the small battery, the LED stays lit as I am dragging but I get no taste or vapor. So would the issue be that I have a defective clearomizer not battery?

I meant the smaller battery LED would stay lit as long as I was dragging on the clearomizer. I have opened a ticket with CS and will go from there. Any idea what could have caused the clearo to malfunction? I was using menthol ice liquid and made sure not to get liquid through the center tube as well as not overfill.

it sounds like just a production defect... although rare it can happen

yeah I am really sorry for the bad luck and the bump in the road...they will get it all sorted out for you though :)

If they have any questions just link them this thread.

I understand. I'm a software developer and I happen to work in production support right now so I know all about production defects ugh!
