If you're sucking like crazy you probably will get a lot dry hits. If you're not getting enough throat-hit you should maybe try a higher nicotine strength juice, or try raising the voltage and taking slow steady draws.

I personally like so many others have searched for the perfect vape, what I ended up settling on was a carto tank. Looks like you've tried that and have had some flooding issues. Was there 1 hole, 2 hole? Consistancy of liauid? There are many different factors, and there is a learning curve, but once you've got it figured out you should be good to go

1) You have to really use the right pg/vg ratio juice for each type. I once thought that all the china vendors were just idiots selling junk, which pretty much they are, but I'll give them some credit here. Its really hard to create a clearomizer that can wick super thin PG juice and also wick super thick VG juice. If they made it so it wicks pure VG, then people who use pure PG would complain about flooding and gurgling. If they made it wick PG perfectly, then it will dry burn dumpster fire in your mouth if you use VG. Most all of them seem set up to run pure PG, just as a baseline.

2) Amount you vape. The reason you see huge varriance in experience people are having with these things is due to how much they vape. The wicking needed to support someone who vapes 6m+ a day in juice, is totally different then the little girl who only needs 2ml a day. Most of the clearomizers are not made for hardcore heavy vapers, this applies to your weekend chain vaping.

3) Voltage has to be much much lower on clearomizers. I may vape a dual coil 1.5 ohm carto at 5 volts, but you cant do that with a single coil carto or a clearomizer. The 2.4+ ohm clearomizers I usualy set around 3.3 -3.9 volts.

4) they are all MUCH better then they used to be, thats for sure... I swore I would never try them again after the CE2 experience, but they have made a little bit of headway. The Iclear 16 is rather cool, its dual coil, and has HUGE wicks. I've had no dry hitsand I vape 50/50 pg/vg and probably about 8ml+ a day in juice in these: they blow clouds and subsequently use a ton of juice 8)
