I have a Vision ViVi Nova and I have a few problems with it... first is that when I screw on the top metal piece that holds the drip tip, the atomizer portion with the wick always goes out of place so I have to screw it on and pry it to the left a little with a paper clip-it's not too big of a problem though. The major problem is that just the other day, I have noticed a burning taste/lack of flavor/but plenty of vapor coming from my vivi. I cannot seem to find the thread that solves it but I know it exists. If anyone has had this problem, please help a brother out. Also, with my Kanger ProTank, I get LOTS of dripping and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix that too...thanks guys! :D

Burning = bad wicking or too high voltage.

So the little slots are pinching the wicking or the silicone top cap is pushing down and pinching the wicks. Probably. IDK why you'd get lots of vapor that way, however.

So maybe use a multimeter and check the ohms and your voltage setting. Once it's burnt... can try cleaning it but it may not work. Replace if possible.

Did you build your own coil?

I'll not comment on the pro-tank issue (don't have one).

on a 1.8 I would start at like 3.8-3.9V and go up to around 4.2V max unless I built the coil myself and used Ekowool or something higher grade. If you have a burnt taste I would replace/rebuild the head and clean everything out. for the Vivi Nova you have to make sure that you spin it around and keep the wicks wet once the fluid level gets down a bit or you will get dry hits on the back half of your pull. With your protank I would just rebuild the coil or get a replacement head as a lot of the stock heads are bad from my experience.

Protank: do you mean it is leaking from the bottom connector? Check to make certain your coil head is tightly screwed into the base section, and make certain the base is tight on the tank itself. Did you modify it in any way (remove a top wick)? I use a 50/50 juice as well, and I have been removing 1 wick. Sometimes it will leak, sometimes not. Try not to draw too hard, which will cause flooding. The Protank is weird like that, and works best with a slow, deep draw.
