I bought the double RY4 TFA from wizard labs for mixing a tobacco blend into some of my juices....just tastes like moldy caramel on crack to me. I've been on the search for a good flavoring to use (preferably without vinegar or alcohol to enhance the flavor) for awhile now. after trying the double RY4 I'm hesitant to put any of the other tobacco flavors from them in a mix

I used their Double RY4, but I knew ahead of time that it was mild, caramely, and sweetish.
It was just the right type of flavor I needed for the recipe I was making.
If you get a "lower" number RY, like RY1 or 2, it will not be so caramely and sweet.
The higher the number, the more dessertish it is.

Are you trying for a real tobacco flavor, or just an add-to.
How are you planning on using it and what do you expect from it is what I'm trying to ask .. I guess.
I'm not a pro, but I do have some "do's, and don't do that again's" written down.

What are you looking for in a tobacco flavor ?

I realize no juice can produce a true cig flavor but I just can't get anything to give a hint of cigarette taste. I have the TA Blend and M-Type Premium from Wizard Labs and also FA Ry4 and FA Dekang. The only thing vapable is the Dekang after steeping for 1 1/2 weeks and then I have to put a drop or two of clear coffee in it to get rid of the chemical taste. I'm mainly usin a 5% with a 75/25 pg vg mix and 12mg nic in all my juices. I'm new to vapin (about 2 1/2 weeks) and been tryin to diy since the vape shop guy I bought my pens from mixes his own to order in a dirty lookin store. He didn't seem to know much, so I checked out the internet and ended up here at this SUPER site. Can anyone give me a recipe usin what I have, or suggest something?

I'd say try getting some trabucco vapors ejuice they're hands down on point with their tobacco blends. One of my fav. Is Capistrano .. Hope that helps..

The tobacco blends I've gotten from Killer-Juice.com taste so close to tobacco smoke they actually made it so I quit smoking. I like their stuff better than the real thing. I started vaping in hopes of cutting back but like the stuff I've gotten from KJ so much it became a no brainer to skip the analogs in favor if vapes. I battery up some menthol blend with my morning coffee, chocolate tobacco after a meal for dessert and Cherrywood when I'm Jonesing for a cigarette. All my non tobacco flavors I use 12mg of nicotine but the tobacco blends I use 18mg.

I'm a good cook too, and I know exactly what your talking about.
With a new recipe, I will usually try it the way it's writtem (most of the time), the first time.
From there on, it's all's fair in love and war and COOK'IN.

Here'a few recipe places I looked up for you, so you can check them out.
I tried to narrow it down to tobacco,

I usually "copy/paste" the recipes and then email them

Tobacco Recipes | E-Liquid Recipe Book

This one is interesting ... you type in what flavors you have on hand, and it creates a recipe using those flavors.
It also contain a slew of recipes you can search through.
e-Liquid Calculator :: New recipe

Another source
diyRecipeBook

One more
E-Liquid Recipes | DIY E-Juice | e cig Liquids

That should keep you busy for a while.

Pick up some Vape Wizard, it's better that vinegar .. it will bring the flavors together, but go real easy, as it can "mute" them too if overdone, like 1 drop per 3-5ml.

Some tobacco's I like to work with:
FA (Flavor Art) Black Fire, Desert Ship, Royal, Virginia, and I really like Maxx Blend
I have others by different company's, but these I would buy again.
They are each a little different from each other.

DID YOU GET THE CALCULATOR ...

Thanx for all this great stuff. Already got your suggested recipe M-type with black walnut/banana cream steepin. yeah I already had found that calculator and downloaded but couldn't get it to work. After you recommended it I decided to get it workin. Success! Copy/paste, email to myself. Much easier than what I've been doin. This info is just what I need. Thanx for takin your time to research for me.:toast:

A lot of people like the Dub RY4, so it's probably the amount or way you're mixin it. Like you, I'm hesitant about buyin anymore tobacco flavors until I get the ones I have to work. I was mixin way out of line to start. The last 3 days I've been getting closer thanx to a few folks here.:) Keep at it and follow advice from the flavor chefs here

Thanks but I guess you didn't read my original post. I'm thinkin more and more that my problem is a bad nicotine solution that's givin a bad taste to all my mixes, not just the tobacco

I read it too fast and misunderstood what you were asking. My Vape Juice has a premixed 50/50 base with the nicotine in it. All of their juices I've tried are good, so the base shouldn't give you a problem. They also offer a lot of DIY concentrates from their extracted offerings. So, you could buy a small bit of base and see if that fixes the problem. Then later, when you need to get more supplies, try out their extracted flavors.

If you e-mail or PM Diane she might mix up a custom pg/vg base for you. She has awesome customer service.

I've tried to find one, but I stopped. One day after trying the latest batch of tobacco flavors, I realized that hey I quit cigarettes, why would I want to replace that taste? Did it for nearly 40 years, and I quit. The taste of some of these juices is outstanding. Given the choice do I want something that tastes great, or something that tastes close to chewing on a cigarette ....? I choose the tastes great path. (both paths are less filling, hehe)

That said one of the tobacco juices I like the best is Virginia from Back Woods Brew. Alien Visions Blend 4 is good as well. Both have other tobacco flavors that get rave reviews as well. I'll bet none of them really replicate smoking a cig though. But like I said, I'm over that and moving on.

There is much more to the tobacco taste than hunting cigarettes. The companies selling extracted tobaccos have created some great pipe and cigar flavors. Some people just like tobacco. I find extracts help me conquer my cigar cravings.

You are absolutely correct, IMHO. I do like (did like I guess now) good cigars Partagas, Padron, and even some of the Acids when golfing.

That said I wish the OP'er best wishes and good luck on their quest...

Thanks but my quest was not to find a juice that tasted somewhat like a cigarette. You can find that in most any B&M and plenty of stores online. My quest was to find a recipe for the four concentrated flavors I have or recommendations from experienced diy'ers about mixing these particular flavors to produce something that tastes somewhat like a cigarette. Simple idea but unsuccessful to date.
