Rebuilt Kanger Coils: Better Flavor Than Kayfuns and Drippers

I've been a dedicated vaper, more of a vaper hobbyist really, for a little over a year now and have everything from drippers to Kayfuns, to Kangers and I HONESTLY have not found anything that comes close to comparing to the full on flavor I get from my rebuilt Kanger coils. I build horizontal 1.0Ω 28 gauge kanthall/Japanese cotton coils for my wife and friends in their Evod tanks and I do vertical .8~1.0Ω 26 gauge kanthall/Japanese cotton coils in all of my dual coil heads, both original and upgraded versions. The flavor is so intense and the coils last for weeks before even having to re-wick. Even the people at my local b&r can't believe the amount of flavor and have asked for a few samples.
I was wondering how many others have the same success being able to outperform their other delivery devices with a cheap, rebuilt Kanger.

I love the flavor I get from the single coils I build for my old Evods and I would love to learn how to build a vertical coil for the dual coil! Can you give some basic directions for the dual coil????
Leekeylee has a very good tutorial on how he does his. I'll try to find it and post it here. On the upgraded dual coil heads I pull the wicking ring off with needle nose pliers and throw them away. If the cotton is wrapped correctly then they'll never leak/seep and the flavor is crazy!

Found it! This is the tutorial leekeylee did. Very well done with really nice step by step pics too. I'm not sure I would have the patience to take pics and post my steps the way he has but this is very similar to how I do it. Like I said before, with the upgraded heads, I pull the wicking ring (collar with the four holes) off and throw them away.

I did a twisted 26 gauge 7 wrap in my plum veil. I know most folks won't believe me, unless they've rebuilt Kangers with vertical coils and Japanese cotton, but there has
never been any comparison. The flavor from the rebuilt Kangers is full-on, almost like misting the pallet with a spray bottle of warm e juice. I do get a ton more vapor with drippers but I also get a very respectable amount with my rebuilt Kangers. No matter what new toy I buy, I always end up setting them down and go back to old faithful.

I guess its kewl if one has the patience and good eyesight....

I have niether. They're really not that bad to do and once you've done it a few times you'll be able to do the verticals in about 5 minutes. The first couple are usually trial and error with getting the amount and placement of the cotton right. Once you've got that the rest is a breeze.

I'm not a physicist but I'm guessing the reason for the amount of flavor, other than the faster and more consistent wicking from the Japanese cotton, is probably due to the small size of the atomizer chamber and also the very small tube in Kanger tanks. Because you're now able to vaporize so much more juice consistently with kanthall and cotton and it has nowhere to expand. It really doesn't have a choice but to stay really condensed and rich. Not too sure where all of the extra vapor comes from though.
