I got this and its my best tank but i cant unscrew the bottom help. I need to switch coils

Well I have the same problem and really didn't want to have to use pliers but it looks like thats what is going to happen

try putting it in the freezer for 10-15mins

Use pliers with rubber band or tape wrapped jaws

Pliers and a wash cloth work for me haha. I have a TFV4 that I can't open unless I do it that way

A rubber band, a rubber glove, or a jar opener should do the trick.

Ok, ok... I've got the Bachelor, and with the rotating top-fill cap, there's little to grab onto.
Couldn't fully disassemble it for the initial machine oil cleansing.
Good suggestions all, except maybe the pliers.

I've used the freezer trick and it does help - but the best tip I got was on here - get some of that rubber mesh that's used for under basins in ceramic sinks, cut off strips and use it for grip. It is really effective and the things only cost £1.00 in any of the Pound Shops.

I got some "rubber jar openers" from Amazon. Do a search and it's really cheap. Pretty essential for a lot of tanks.

Also, I had a similar issues with my silo beast tank, and BV told me to take a small screwedriver and put it into the airflow and use the torque to get it open and it basically worked. I'm not sure if the airflow and coil line up the same, but something to consider in your strategy. Best of luck.
