Ahh ok thanks..
300 post to sell some liquid is a little high.. I can see 50 or even maybe 100, but 300?.. I always took a chance on buying e-liquids because I know I could sell them here, now I'm not able to.. I guess I have to go somewhere else to make a sale..
That's probably why the for sale section is so small with not much of anything good for sale..
I think that was one of the things that made this forum so great was the selection of people coming together and buying and selling.. Now there's nothing much to look at in the classifieds..
thanks for the fast reply though.

and just a little info. might make more money for the Website if the membership was $5 rather then the $25. If there was 20 people, probably (maybe) only 1 would pay the $25 but at least 10 would pay the $5. Make sense?

300 posts to your account or $24 for membership, whichever occurs first :)

Whoops, there is a one year option as well.......

I wonder what the motivation was here. Being super chatty doesn't make you more reliable. >shrug<

apparently there were 13 transactions gone bad in november with most, if not all, originating from 2 or 3 members out to scam. even though 13 transactions are a small percentage of the overall activities it is still 13 people who lost their money.
i commend ecf administration for trying to minimize the opportunities scammers have here ......
there will always be some drawbacks to solutions but that doesn't mean a problem can be ignored.

I use to work for a online game company doing order verification and made voice to voice phone calls all over the world to protect the business from scammers. we dealt with money from $15 to $2,000.
To help avoid a scam, voice to voice verification is best along with having them confirm their verified paypal info. If they have trouble verifying the info they have on paypal, they are a scammer. if they refuse to do a quick voice verification, then they are hiding something. If you have thier phone number and their verified home/billing address, it would be pretty stupid to scam someone.

I recommend this as a option for people who would like to still make sale transactions and give a warning to people who want to do it the old fashion way, then let them know the risk rate of something going wrong. Most of us are over the age of 18 here and I think as being adults we can decide on our own and make the best decisions we feel most comfortable with.
making people pay money to sell items that are usualy under the price of the membership just doesn't make much sense. Most people sell a couple bottles of E-Liquid. for the higher priced items, phone call verification is best.
Give people the freedom to make their own choices. ECF still gives no grantee anyway if something goes wrong, so instead of trying to police it, give people better ways or ideas to take matters into their own hands with the best and most safe options available to them that they can do on their own.

the hope is that most scammers are looking for a fast score and will not put the time in to reach the required posts.

but any scammer with more than 2 brain cells would happily pay the $24 entry fee to scam for hundreds of dollars of mods...

i think people need to use some common sense and stop expecting everyone to be protecting them from their own mistakes.

i mean just because you buy speakers from two guys in a van doesn't mean you can cry about it to the chevy dealer.

I bought a J-Tank last week from an ECF Veteran with over 300 post. Guess what? He lied about the condition of the J-Tank. Said it was never used. Got it yesterday, opened it up to load my juice and it had flavored juice all in the cap which stuck to the inside of the tank where the cap had been.

Sure, I got the product. Sure all I had to do was wash it up. But the point here is he LIED in his post to sell it. He offered an item KNOWINGLY used as never used. Link to what I purchased.

People misrepresent...and apparently his one year status and post count on this forum did not stop misrepresentation. Misrepresentation=scamming in my book. At first, I thought OK I will wash this up and move on, but the more I think about it...especially the fact that this guy is TRUSTED, yet I am not because I haven't been here a year/posted 300 post/paid 24$ so I can sell my egos on the classies.

The classies have turned to expensive mods...not much of anything for a new vaper. Egos and 510's and the likes have a place on the classies for new vapers looking to try out some the beginner stuff without blowing the bank. I only wish that I had saved some money on my way to to the Reo Grand...now I wish I could sell off some of it to new vapers who could benefit from buying slightly used beginner equipment or even juice varieties to figure out what is out there. I got a lot of juice in trades...so that I could try a variety of flavors/vendors without having to make an order at 10 different online stores. Newbies NEED that kind of thing...otherwise the money spent adds up REALLY fast.

OK there's my rant. I wouldn't have even been ranting had I not bought from this Veteran who had also had the appropriate number of post to sell had he not been...and still was scammed by buying an item that was sold as never used when clearly it was.

Yup, all this new "Rule" does is hurt the Honest People.
Criminals are gonna be criminals, they'll just find another way around it.

I Vote to change it back to the way it was. It was more helpful to the Vaping community, now it just looks like the forum is getting hungrey.

Go to any other forum, 5 to 50 post requirement is normal requirement to post in classies.
