that seems strange to me -- maybe you need to up your nicotine level in the juice? I can't even stand the smell of them anymore, which is what a lot of vapers say

maybe you have to actually stop smoking analogs for a week or so before you get that effect

one thing though -- I learned this from taking Wellbutrin last year (quit for 7 months because of it) -- it blocked the nicotine receptors in my brain so that I wasn't getting any nicotine from the cigarettes. Because of that, my brain no longer saw any use whatsoever in tricking me into thinking that the cigarettes tasted good. That's all this is -- if your brain still sees analogs as a source of nicotine, it'll still trick you into thinking they taste good. As soon as you give your body time to realize that you're getting all the nicotine it craves, but from a MUCH healthier source, it'll drop the trickery and you'll see what analogs really taste and smell like -- like cardboard soaked in ammonia. just my opinion though

well, i had the same problem. My advice eliminate anyone smoking around you and stop buying cigs i have had an analog since due to i dont have any on me or around me. So just build a strong will, just tell your self i dont need this and rely on your e cig just vape whenever you craving for nicotine does not matter how much. I used to vape for an hour before my cravings stop. Also remember that e cig is not a magic wand its there just to help you over come a hubit of have analog in your hand that smokes.
Good luck and stay strong we all know your above your addiction.

Try making rules. If you smoke analogs inside, make yourself go outside for them. If you smoke them in your car, bring your PV and make yourself wait till after the drive to smoke. Make it almost an annoyance to smoke them. That, and maybe you should raise your nicotine level, or use more PG in your e-liquid for a good throat hit.

It's also psychological, which was my biggest issue. I had an easy time switching, but then I was "craving" certain things about analogs:

Putting out cigarette butts. Solution? I grabbed a cup and put those little fish tank COPYRIGHTDMCA inside them and when I'm done vaping I "put out" my PV in the COPYRIGHTDMCA (gently of course hehe), mouthpart (cart/carto/driptip) facing up, just like a cigarette.

Flicking off ash. For some reason, I miss that (still do), so I'll "flick" or "tap" my PV to simulate this act.

I also have a glass ashtray so I can put my PV down like I'm resting a lit cigarette.

...These small things help me a LOT, however this could be triggers for others. It's a battle, but once you figure out your strategy, nothing can stop you :D Don't give up, we all have hope for you!

Okay good you have a good set up, some people actually need to use 36mg when they have bad cravings and 24 the rest of the time, you might want to pick up a bottle and see if it helps. Good luck and happy vaping!!

very true, and you've been around a lot longer than I have, but I will caution against overkill though -- the tendency for people like me that aren't sure they're getting enough nicotine (mostly because they haven't realized how much more slowly vaping gets you nicotine than smoking does) is to go overboard with high-nic juices...

I got a 48mg bottle of Jeff's Mix from wordupecig.com and that stuff tastes great, but it's like breathing sandpaper haha (unless you're drinkin hard :D) -- plus, you vape on it for a while and all of a sudden you realize your stomach doesn't feel quite right, you feel anxious, tense...

best to err on the side of less nicotine and just vape a bit more -- it's hard to break out of the idea that you can't take lots of drags and enjoy them because smoking was so bad you enjoyed it despite the hazards -- but with vaping, go with much less nicotine than you think you need, and take your time, enjoy the flavor and vape away

just my $0.02

Chainso,

I second otrpu. You're doing just fine. Some people just take a little longer to put down the analogs than others. I'm not sure if this will help or not, but I'll put it out there. I started vaping at 18mg and was still having cravings and smoking. I got some 24mg juice and started using that when I have the cravings and it helped. Now I vape both strengths. I use the 18mg whenever I can vape freely. That way I can chain vape and it doesn't give me headaches or make me feel sick. I use the 24mg when my vaping is restricted and to stop cravings. I've been doing this for a month and a half and I'm starting to need the 24mg less and less.

I'm not saying that this will definitely work for you, but it could be an option for you to try with the strengths that will work for you.

I do not buy cigs at all anymore. This is my first day with out any analogs and it's going good.

Congrats!! That's good but I don't think you should worry too much about it. Try some 36mg if you haven't.

I don't smoke regulary anymore but I still don't mind the smell of burning cigarettes. Is this a bad sign? I don't buy cigs even at duty free, first time in 20 years.

I was able to hang out with the smoking crowd in front of a building or in smoking rooms. It didn't make me want a cigarette but I still enjoy the smell.

I use 36mg and 24mg. I also carry 18mg and I rotate it with the stronger ones.

Day two no smokes. :) how do I get one of those counter things??
Just click on the counter you like & it will take you to the website, follow the instructions & paste it in your profile.

Good luck on the analog battle. I've been free for almost 19 months & I still get the urge to mooch a smoke, but I just take a whack off the E-cig & it passes. Gotta hang tough, still gotta kick in some will power. I just quit ALL tobacco products, cigars, dip, snus, hooka, all of it & I loved my tobacco. Now I just smell it :)
