I'm using a Kanger Subtank Nano... On a joyetech ego one battery. This might not be the usual type of question you're used to seeing, but...

The tank is threaded on way too tight. I am not sure how it happened, I never put my stuff on too tight. Vice grips won't loosen it at all. Rubber jar opener won't loosen it at all. I don't know what to do next. I'm attempting to turn the tank left, and tried right too but either way, it won't budge. I've damaged the steel on the Subtank, and the glass while trying to remove the tank from the battery.

I don't know what else to do... Please help!

Edit: I just broke my battery and Subtank... They're currently in the garbage... :(

That's too bad :/ Busted a few eGos and even a Fogger v2 in similar fashion. Quick note.. Batteries actually shouldn't go in the garbage.. though I'm not sure where they are supposed to go. I'm figuring on calling around when I get a stash of dead batteries to find out proper disposal.

Also, for your future help..
Get a little e-liquid, or better yet, VG, on a tank's o-rings if you'd like them to move easily when you disassemble them.
Make sure to back threads to one another - before tightening, loosen it! Yes, I know that made no sense, but try it anyway. This can help you line the threads up so you don't get little burrs from starting crossthreaded.
If a thread won't move, stick it all in the freezer for a half hour and try again. If it still won't go, rubber bands or rubber gloves (dishwashing/cleaning gloves, regular nitrile exam gloves aren't so great for this) can give you lots of extra grip without destroying glass or marring metal.

Aand.. good luck!

Re: dead battery recycling lots of stores do it... Along with disposal of things like old cellphones, used oil and old paint and such depending on what they carry... Check your local automotive shops or an electronics store for battery recycling... hell I think even Walmart does it here (I'm Canadian though).

To the original poster. Super bummer! I wonder if you got it cross threaded? That'd explain the stuck...

Thanks for the wonderful tips! I will remember those for next time! Helps a lot!

If you intend to replace your subtank nano, you might consider getting the Coolfire 4. It's a nice little 40 watt VV/VW mod. My friend uses it with a Subtank Nano at she absolutely loves it. The Nano is a bit thinner than the mod, so even the Subtank Mini would fit nice on it. And it comes in purple so it would match your hair.

That's pretty awesome, but I already ordered an Eleaf-istick 50w and a Subtank Mini. Hope those do the trick, from what I hear they both perform well.

Ok, stuck on, grab the threaded base with a set of pliers, take a drill bit (preferably a large bore drill bit), insert it into one of the holes (or slots) on the sub-tank, and twist off. The battery will be SOL, but the tank should come off. Have this problem frequently. Especially on my Kayfun / Mech setup.

Just a helpful tip for next time this happens.

That's a great setup! The battery life is life changing. You must have put some pressure on it at some pointin your pocket and slipped a thread. Which is the same as cross threading. It will effectively lock the threads together.

Something happened, but that stuff is long gone now. Don't really miss it either. Lol! Using an mvp3 pro and the istick 50w for backup now. Using different sub ohm tanks as well. Always thought the Subtank Nano was too small anyway, didn't hold much liquid. ;)
