And I like mixing flavours (part of being in the food industry I guess)

Oh, I meant to mention this the first time, but forgot. You should check out FunkyVapes (which isn't live yet -- soon, apparently -- but maybe search for 'pearl necklace e-liquid' on your search engine of choice and go from there). He's a Red Seal cook who makes some fine, FINE stuff at very reasonable cost. I got my first batch of Pearl Necklace this week and ordered more that same day, it is just ridiculously satisfying.

What worked for me is starting out with a tobacco flavor to make the transition easier. It was still tough but most of that was mental. What made it hard for me (again, a mental thing) was that I wouldn't vape for 4 or 5 minutes, put it down then vape later for another 4 or 5 minutes. You can't time it like a real cigarette. Once I dealt with that it became a lot easier. I am lucky enough to be in a van all day at work so I will constantly vape, even if I'm working indoors I will stealth vape and after a couple of weeks the urge for a real cigarette was virtually gone. I would say start with a straight tobacco flavor, vape whenever possible (go to the bathroom or when no on is looking). Good luck.

If your body is telling you that it's not getting enough nicotine, you might use the liquids with higher nic content (6 seems pretty low). Is there a particular reason that you've been mixing three different strengths?

Of course, it's also possible that it's just psychological. I struggled for a couple of weeks with my brain telling me that I really wanted to smoke a cigarette--even though I wasn't having any type of physical craving for it. I just wanted one because it is something that's been part of my life for so long! I gave into this for about a week, but I forced myself to change my habits--specifically, I made the decision that I would no longer smoke in my home. I found that when I smoked an analog after I started vaping, I found them to be kind of gross--they tasted awful to me! After a few days, I just stopped completely, and I stopped giving into my head telling me that I wanted them.

Agreed ... 24mg should be plenty of nic to fight off actual cravings, although your chosen delivery system may not be doing the trick. All set ups are not equal, and I can say from experience that certain tanks/cartos do a better job at delivering the goods, then some others ... so you may need some adjustments in that department.

However, I get the sense that this may be psychological, something that I very much relate to. Like DocTonyNYC already stated, sometimes we just want what we are used to because it's comforting and familiar, and there is nothing wrong with that ... its a normal response to change. Just be patient with yourself, and if you should find yourself lighting up a cigarette please don't beat yourself up about it ... have your moment, accept that you had a moment, and get back in the game.

The hardest part about transitioning from smoking to vaping is the amount of trial and error that is involved. It is an effort, and you may get frustrated at times, but if you maintain a light attitude about it you will eventually find your sweet spot.

The great thing about ECF is that its more than an informational resource, it is a support based community that will be here to encourage you, and listen to your rants, and empathize with your struggle when you feel fed up ... so use us, we like it! ;-)

Just a quick note from a fellow noobie,

I have smoked for 40 years, at one time 4pad, currently 1pad.
I personally have tried the gum, patches, and Chantix.
I was unable to get below the 1pad even with these aids.

However my current employment does not allow tobacco use on the property at all, and does not allow leaving the property during work hours, not even breaks.

Tried BLU cigalikes but found that they only cut the edge off of the cravings, not satisfy them.

Purchased a ego CE4 with 1000mah battery, and a tobacco, and a coffee flavor in 18ml strength.
My first day Vaping and the analogs are cut in half, still have some strong cravings.

I figure, I will obtain another CE4 and 650 or 900mah battery to load with 24ml tobacco flavor
to use during these stronger cravings/at work.

I hope that this will help with ideas / as well as you are not alone in this struggle.

If this post is out of line moderators please correct me and/or delete this

I didn't think I would be able to kick analogs even though I had done it for 13 years prior. I bought my first eGo and used that and smoked analogs also. Then one day I got disgusted with the whole "try" and I just did. Stopped buying packs, picked up my vape first thing in the morning and hit off that...18 mg wasn't enough so I started at 24. I eventually noticed that I enjoyed vaping yummy flavors and not smelling like cigarettes more than I liked analogs. I did still have temptations but I just kept reaching for my vape. I am very happy to say I don't really miss cigarettes - I am too involved with learning about vaping and mods that I now see analogs as my enemy.
