Whew that's some heavy duty juice for a new sob ohmer

I would suspect the thickness of the liquid. If it can't keep the wick properly saturated the hit will become pretty harsh

Ive never had nor know anybody whos had problems with 70vg especially when not chain vaping in any subtank.

The 70vg is going to be alot less harsh then say a 50/50 or 60pg/40vg.

The problem is alot of people try to hit these subtanks like they would an Atlantis or Protank. Thats were the coughing and choking comes from. .... I even choke and cough if I try hitting mouth to lung hitting any of my STs or and RDA. Once you figure out how to take a proper lung hit it shouldnt be a problem.

I've dragged my feet as far as sub-ohming goes. I don't like a hot vape, either. I noticed that the metal tip of my Atlantis got hot on my 30 watt iStick at 25 watts, but the Atlantis tank on my K-101 didn't, even with a fresh battery at 4.2 volts. A delrin "cloud chaser" drip tip from Cherry Vapes solved the heat problem.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but don't feel bad if you can't jump right into sub-ohming and cloud chasing.

Vape whatever works for you, eventually you'll get there.

If I tried vaping what I vape now 2 years ago, I would have thought it was awful and hot. But over time I've worked my way up to this either because I wanted more flavor, more vapor, etc (not to mention the technology has come a long way lol). My mom uses an ego with a clearo and thinks how I vape is way too overpowering.

I don't drip, I'm considering trying it at some point but RTAs are what I use at the moment. They work for me, I haven't felt like taking that next step yet. Perhaps going right to sub-ohm might not work for you. Or, as everyone else is saying, you just haven't found that right set-up yet.

Sub ohm dose not have to be hot. I rember setting up quad coils with a 1mm air hole that was hot! Like most of the stuff we use you have to do some research and see how to use it before you dive in. one of the bigest things over looked is the nic intake, but yes if you run out and get a .2 ohm tank and vape it at 100w its going to be hot and if you vape 12mg juice your going to vape your self sick. I wrap my coils ay about .5ish in my RDAs and a little less in the goblin. around 1.2 in the kayfun. .5 in my Ithaka I have some 3.0 cartomizers I use from time to time. I like em all I really like the artic sub I have .2 at around 40 to 50 watts lots of flavor and good vapor. I run my genys at about 1.0 and you cant beat the flavor in those.

Every device I have has a learning curb some more than others.

That's always been one of the things I don't like about many subohm setups. If you can find a good RDA with a ton of airflow they work well, but with a lot of the newer tanks it's just too hot for me. I prefer a cooler vape.

So, instead of subohming I've found that using a higher wattage on a higher resistance coil can give me pretty much what I'm looking for. Similar huge clouds, same and sometimes even better flavor, but a lot cooler vape which is what I prefer. I know that everyone seems to have jumped on the subohm bandwagon lately, but it's not the only way to produce big clouds. Airflow is the main key, not the coil resistance.

While it's not going to win any cloud blowing contests you can get good vapor production out of a simple Aspire Nautilus with the right settings.

That's a Nautilus with a 1.8ohm coil at 19 watts.

I'm with you on this one bro. I run the mini generally around 8.6 watts for ADV, but if I want to, I've jacked it to 15+ and get more than enough cloud. I mean really, when I smoked the stinkies, I never chased clouds...you ALL know what we did...we just smoked.

Their is nothing wrong with a toy or two laying around besides your 'main vape'.

Baditude would be surprised... I hardly touch my carto tanks anymore. I've done a complete 180. Now I mostly use Atlantis tanks. You blow through juice a lot faster, that's for sure. But I've yet to have any problems with either the tanks or the coils. I also finally got around to rebuilding RDA's, but they're still not my preferred type of vape.
