Can't support the little guy anymore

My cousin (and one of my best friends) married the nephew of a guy who runs a little hole-in-the-wall smoke shop. I used to buy all of my stuff there, for numerous reasons, but mainly because they're cheap. However, once I discovered the store I now frequent, I haven't been back... Until yesterday.

I felt guilty for abandoning the small business.

Also, I'm beyond broke, and I knew the guy would cut me a deal.

Sadly... I've grown far too accustomed to the better quality products at the bigger (vape-specific) store... Now the juice I just bought tastes absolutely horrid, and it's only got half the nicotine I typically get (the store I go to now custom-mixes their juices and lets you sample before you buy).

I still feel guilty for abandoning the family-by-association shop, but I really can't do the cheap, gross liquid now that I've found better. Sigh.

And worse, now I have 20ml of the worst e-juice I've ever had. (But, on the upside, I spent just about the same price I would have paid just for juice, and also got another tank.)

Well told, and first off - bravo for supporting small, local family business. I started vaping in January at a local b&m and loved it. Before I knew it, all the staff had names, faces and stories that I visited frequently. Their juice and starter kits got me of cigs, so I felt an allegience to them - I'm a loyal customer to those who treat people fairly and honestly.

6 weeks in my taste buds start to emerge, and their juice tastes like bottom shelf JC pennies bargain perfume... Yaaack... I try to upgrade to a protank 2, but learn about the clone wars and waste money on clunky cheapo gear. So I've been ordering online ever since.

I went back in there to try a vg 6mg juice and it was awful. I felt the same struggle (not owned by relatives however) - I really want to support your business, but it has nothing to offer me

If you know the owner really well, maybe you will get to a point where you might want to tell them that there are better products out there that they should support. Most people have said that if a business wants to be dedicated to vaping, they have to make their own juice. Not sure if I totally agree, but custom b&m ejuice can still be crap...

Maybe you can let your friend know that expanding his store with better vaping products might attract business, who knows even yours again!

See, their main focus has always been cigarettes and... Ahem... "Tobacco" pipes, and for those things I can easily see myself still going to them. But since I've recently taken the step to entirely cut tobacco out of my life (girlfriend has to, so I'm doing it also, for support and because cigarettes are crap)... And I have nowhere near enough money to smoke anything else these days... Sadly, I don't see them competing for the vape market.

The new tank I got seems pretty good, especially for the price, and if they carry the replacement coils for that I'll still go in to replace those.

When I started vaping, I stuck with mostly the fruity flavors. Maybe that was my mistake yesterday. The flavor I got was chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut... And a brand I was unfamiliar with. I should have just gone with their not-bad fruit ones since I was getting a new tank anyway. (Previous good purchase from the other place was a maple donut flavor.)
