I'm not talking about the tanks. I understand how they function.

What I don't understand, is the actual process of dripping. The way I see it, is it only has one use, and that's trying out a new juice. Few drops in, and boom there's your sample. Other than that, I really can't wrap my brain around the appeal of dripping. When I'm vaping, I want to vape. Simple as that. No matter if I'm out and about, or sitting around the house, the last thing in the world I would want to do is open my juice every couple minutes for a few drops.

If I found a vacuum/pump type system, I would be in heaven. I hate refilling the clearos I have, and that only takes a minute or 2, every couple hours.

How do you drippers do it? Like I said, I would hate having to drip a few drops every couple minutes.

And to be clear, I'm not ranting, or judging, or trying to be mean or anything like that. I'm honestly trying to figure out why so many people like vaping this way.

I must agree with you. I tried dripping and hated every minute of it. Tanks are more my thing. It's one of those "to each his/her own" things. Get a good rebuildable tank and you'll be just fine. I have a Fogger V3 on the way. Best of both worlds.

Simply put, PERFORMANCE. If you build a proper coil you will get more flavor, more warmth, and more vapor. IMO these are the ingredients to an over all better vape. Way less convenient sure, but a much better experience. With the added satisfaction you will likely find yourself having to pull on you're cig much less often.

I am more of a tank person for my all day setup but I do have a couple of drippers that pretty much stay on my desk for when im on the computer, and they have the juices that arent my all day vape. I do like the way they perform but I am not one that wants to carry a bottle of juice around with me.
It all boils down to what works for you and what your comfortable with. If it keeps you off the analogs then its doing its job. Nothing wrong with trying out other devices, you never know you might find something that you like.

Have you looked at a Reo with an RM2 atty on top? All the benefits/taste of dripping with a bottom fed juice bottle.

I'm not talking about the tanks. I understand how they function.

:) I started vaping when our choice for juice delivery was either cartridges, dripping with atomizers, or cartos. Cartos were just in their infancy. Most every one at the time started vaping with cartridges and I think its likely everyone from that era would agree that cartridges were truly a PITA :)

Back in the beginning I learned to use cartos when out and about but dripping with 510 atomizers were my preferred method that I used at home. I tried lots of new juice delivery methods as they evolved in the past few years just out of curiousity. Some work better then others for me, but nothing has delivered more consistently without problems or issues then old fashioned dripping with 510 atomizers for me. Some of the RA attys come in a close second in terms of flavor but for me now-a-days I'm all about simple and rebuilding isn't what I wish to do right now. Honestly, I'm so used to dripping that I don't give a thought to it, I simply drip when needed. If I wish to change flavors I simply use a different bottle of juice. Normally my attys last months before I need to toss and use a new one.

haha. this threat cracked me up, so I had to reply. I was in the same boat last week. Been happy with my pro tank and went to local shop just to try out some juice. i was having trouble with some of sample tanks. no taste. the guy behind the counter tried to help and replaced the atty. while he was doing that, a guy next to me at the counter pulled out his mod (w/ RDA) and told me to use that for tasting it. i added a few drops of sample, stuck my drip tip, and took a long drag. holy #@%$!

i am not saying dripping is better than genesis tank or any other system. it is all personal preference. but only way to find out is you have to TRY it. i think the dripping is one of those things that you will know right away. you either love it (and have to have it) or hate it.

Wow. A lot of great replies. Thanks for the insight into dripping.

Honestly, the idea of making a coil intimidates me slightly. I've only be vaping for about 2.5 weeks so I'm very new to all of this. All I have is a single Vision VV Spinner and a Vamo V5 currently being shipped (with no updates all day ugh). I absolutley love the ease of use of the BCCs and BDCs I have. I do get the occasional burnt taste/dry hit, but I usually just shake the clearo and I'm back to yummy hits.

I'm sure I'll get into it eventually, since why not right? But for now, even a RBA seems like too much for me. I was looking at the Kayfun 3.1 clone from FastTech for $49, but like I said, at this point in time, I don't want to worry about building my own coils and things like that.

Who knows, maybe I'm naive, but the BCCs and BDCs with the stock atomizers work beautifully for me.

The best advice I can give is to try it. Its not so difficult and there is a wealth of resources to help you do it. To me the difference between a gas station blu and a protank/vivi nova on an eGo style battery or a basic VV like the Vamo, is like the difference between said vv and a dripper on a mech. Completely different experience and I dont think i can go back. I still use my protank to kill off the higher nic juices that I have and cant vape anymore, but apart from that, I grab my dripper and my nemmy/'vella once I start my day. Plus picking up a clone + a simple dripper wont cost you much more than 30 bucks all together to give it a try. I promise once you try it you probably wont look back either.

I don't even vape anymore, but, when I started. . .that's how everybody did it. The cartidges of the time didn't hold much, so you ended up dripping to refill quite frequently. Maybe. . .that's how it started. However, I sort of put it under the. . ."dont' knock it 'till you've tried it" catagory. Admittidely. . .I ain't your typical vaper. Er. . .make that "Ex Vaper". JMHO

I'm sort of an old school dripper. Dripping started as a way of making the old cart and atomizer systems work because the carts sucked. I drip on an automatic battery with a de-spiked ego-C atomizer. Until recently, it was the only way I vaped.

There is a bit of an art to it, and a ritual. And when everything else stops working properly, dripping still will.

Couldn't have said it better.

I DIY and dripping is a great way to check your flavors, I usually have several flavors going at once in my tanks/clearos/RBA's. With dripping I can also add several more that I might not like enough to fill a tank, but like to vape now and then.

Like just about everything in the vaping world, it is just a matter of personal preference. I have this feeling a REO is in my future, might be awhile though, money is scarce for me right now.

genesis style dripping tank is your best option. Another option is to find out if any of your atty is capable for micro coiling.

I recently moved to dripping with the vision eternity and for me personally as already mentioned here I find the flavor to be more prominent. Also again the rebuilding aspect is great. I find I only drip around 25 drops every hour or two so it's not as frequent as some. The main draw to dripping though is that I like to switch out flavors multiple times a day and if they're not massively overpowering then I can do that simply instead of having to finish a full or even half filled tank to get a different flavor going.

For me, dripping has the best flavor. I've used cato tanks, Vivi's, Protanks and other forgettable bcc's. Just got a KFL+ for on the go, but even that can't compare to a properly configured dual micro coil with cotton, or even kanthal ribbon wire with silica/ekowool.

Don't get me wrong, it can be a bit of a chore sometimes (Nerver drip and drive:facepalm:) and thats why I got the KFL, but if I'm sitting at home lurking the web, watching the game or binge watching Netflix I drip.

It also has to do with my vape preference. I like to take a couple big hits, set it down for a while take a couple more set it down etc. I noticed, when I first switched from analogs I would just puff on a carto tank, or whatever tank I was using that day, for 10 minuets straight before my carvings subsided. Now if I get a craving I just take a couple puffs from my dripper and I'm good for while.

Lastly, its basically a hobby vs something I do just to not smoke. I love build days! Chill with a couple friends, crack some brews:toast: bounce ideas off each other and build away. Fist it was who can build the best functional coil, now that our skills have improved we try to see who can build the best looking without sacrificing function.

Anyways thats my :2c:

As long as it can keep you off the poison, vape on!

I started dripping about a month and a half ago. Before I used an MVP and protank. I'll never go back to tanks until I get a russian. Can't taste clearos, cartos, or the like. Convenient, yes. But the sacrifice of flavor isn't worth it to me. I exclusively drip due to the consistency of the vape. Nothing like a great build and a fresh battery. :vapor:
