Just got my seven flavors in today and made up some half dram bottles of VG and PG watered down with a little 89 proof vodka. I put about 15 drops per bottle, 40 drops each of the glycerins and about 20 drops of the vodka. I will add no flavored nic juice to the ones I like and just pitch the ones I didn't care for..no loss of nic juice that way.
Creme Brule--very good--creamy tasting
Strawberries and Creme--light fruity and creamy.....think it needs more intense flavor so will add more drops
Chocolate Fudge--Oh yeah--fudgy chocolaty and sweet. A keeper for sure
Blueberry Cinnamon Crunch--another one to keep...berry and a touch of cinn. Yummy!
Cookies and Cream--not too much taste, will try this one again
Cinnamon--not strong at all.....may pitch this one or keep to mix with other flavors
Pumpkin Pie--not impressed--no taste at all, will keep to add to coffee creamers to see if that would work.
So it seems you need more of this to work than the Lorann flavorings, but these are good tasting when you add enough. I think 4 out of 7 aren't too bad. But then again, it may just depend on a persons mood and taste buds any given day. I hated RY4 when I first tasted it, sold all my bottles except one I added menthol and carmel with, and ended up loving the taste.
I'll be purchasing more in the peach and other citrus flavors since those are what I prefer in the Lorann flavors.

I placed 2 orders Sunday 20th...10 for 7 of the regular price, and second order of 5 on sale ones. They were out of graham cracker (thanks razor:rolleyes:) when I ordered but a couple days later it showed back up. Hadn't heard anything from them, so I called today, and asked if they hadn't shipped it yet, could they replace the apple pie with graham cracker. They hadn't, and he did!!!!YAY!!! I got an email an hour later that my order had been shipped. I cracked up, cause he asked how I heard about them, and I told him off the forum, that I was using it for e-cigs. He said "You guys are everywhere!" (in a very nice way). So apparently, they are getting swamped from us. OK, from you guys that have gotten them, do they have do they have coloring in them? I'm really spoiled by JuicyLiquid flavors right now, so I'm hoping this is similar. I LOVE JL's amaretto and banana nutbread, so I'm looking forward to trying similar things here. Did anybody get the french toast? It was out (and still is). Glad to hear that the Creme brullee was good. Love that stuff in real life.

Keep the reviews coming...I'm loving reading them. Thanks
-Kathy

Hey Rita-
Thanks for posting your recipe and taste test. Will try your measurements.

Do you think instead of vodka, perhaps the equivalent in flavoring might do the trick? Seems the Capella flavor would be enough of a thin liquid to cut the VG (which I always add) and the extra 20 drops of flavoring instead of vodka (or 10 extra drops of flavoring and only 10 drops of vodka?) might punch up the flavors that didn't work so well and give the same consistency?

I guess I should ask... why vodka for the mix (I can think of a few better uses, lol). Is it because of the DIY VG/flavorings and what it can do to an atomizer? I saw a thread on that this morning... Must say, I'm not totally convinced, but if everyone thinks it helps?

Is there a Capella Recipe Thread?!? If not, should we should start one since it is different from the LorAnns mix/flavors or put them in the Recipe Thread already in DIY?

I haven't had time to play with mine... maybe this weekend? I hope everyone will list what they have tried. There are still plenty I didn't buy, ha.

Kathy - I didn't get French Toast either... phoey. Wish I did. Now I want some for dinner... lol.

HI Hellen,
I use the vodka to cut the thickness of the VG. I like using VG for the extra vapor. I suppose I could use H2O but don't always have distilled handy. Since I rarely drink liquor (only mixed in margaritas when out dining once i awhile) I figured I'd use what I had in the cabinet.
I combined the pumpkin and the cinnamon and found it tasted really nice!
Been vaping the creme brulee all day today..it is so darn good! It really tastes like the authentic brulee we got in Charleston SC in a really pricey restaurant we went to last year. You just can't get really good creme brulee anywhere up north here....so it's great to be able to vape it :)

i'm glad Capella really took off, hehe. as stated in my other thread, yes, the staff seems fantastically nice.

as for mixing, personally i think the flavors are a little thin, i used to only mix with VG but recently got PG, but i'm thinking it might be wise to add some VG to a mix with Capella flavors. then again, depends on how much you mix, but in my small 3ml batches i use about 20% and the whole mix is much thinner than i prefer. just a tip, but to each their own :)

Kathy, None of the ones I listed had colorings...were clear..except for the Chocolate fudge..it was a light brown color.

I'd think VG is the way to go with DIY, as it gives you the opportunity to use more flavoring? I know some don't like VG, but I find it adds nice sweetness and I don't seem to get cart seepage if I add a bit to my other liquids that seem to be too thin when they arrive direct from a Supplier.

I'm just getting ready to start playing with extracts and flavorings, so really don't know much other than cutting my own 36mg liquids with PG/VG and using flavoring from Liquid Express to jazz stuff up (btw, their Cool Rush minty menthol IS awesome).

Regarding the coloring additive issue. This was in the OP but was easily missed. Their caramel coloring is not from syrup, flour or wheat. I guess that means artificial. I don't know about any other coloring, (no info that I could find on the website) but at this small amount, I'm not too concerned if there are any.

Hi! I got Capella peanut butter, eggnog, and mint this past week. All very sweet and creamy, seem like pudding or custard flavors, strong enuff to hold their own in atty's that have had other flavors in them, but pleasantly so...I like sweet stuff, so I'm pleased and would try some different ones eventually! Hope this helps...

The hazelnut is wonderful. I do get headaches from some of the other flavorings that I've tried from various places (I NEVER get headaches normally, and I don't get them with vaping in general, so I know it's a response to the specific flavors, and Murphys law, seems that it's normally a flavor that I love the taste of) but I've tried the hazelnut and creme brulle... no headache, sore throat or anything else (I do VG). The creme brulle is really tasty, but the hazelnut is killer good. I ordered a jillion flavors from them, but I'm having a hard time breaking free from the hazelnut to try them.

Trapped within my imagination
Does anyone know if they are still offering free shipping with the FREESHIP code?

Oh and I'm looking for a flavor to add to my cappuccino eliquids to make them more creamy/smooth....Those that have tried them, do you think the creme brulett or the eggnog would work well for this?

Good luck on your RY4 mix toker
