Capella Vanilla Cupcake %

The flavouring smells great but even upto 20% it seems to taste weak at best. Wondering what others mix it at? I do like it mixed with strawberry and cream but would be better if I could taste more cake.

I don't have that one yet but my notes have 20% with a question mark next to it. What percent did you start with?

Capella is forgiving you can go higher than 20% if you like.

I started with 10%, I'm.guessing its more of a bland flavor or somehow long steeping will help although I don't see how it would.

In my Capella search last week on this forum, between 15% and 20% was suggested a lot as stand alone. Just like Vanilla Custard and the Chocolate Flavors, it is supposed to get stronger after a week of steeping.

I mix mine starting at 3%-5%(i mixed FW rockyroad two days ago at 2% and it's great) and generally do not have to boost the flavor any higher than 1/2%-1%.If you start out at 10%,even though flavorings can be forgiving,you are already too high.This is why the flavors have either,not enough flavor,bad taste,too many floral notes,etc...Start alot lower and work up from there.

Alright gonna mix another batch tonight will try 10% again which is what I normally mix my others at.

Most Capellas work best for me in the 5-10% range. I always try them at 5% first and go up as needed. They can be stronger than their reputation.

I just noticed at 10% after heat steeping it I couldn't taste much flavor for the vanilla cupcake. At 20%it doesn't seem like much flavor either. Will try it again after a week thanks all

You can try adding some Cake Batter and see if that does the trick.

I just tasted the Vanilla Cupcake and it has plenty of flavor. I'm wondering if the Alcohol in it is what's causing the problem. Try letting it steep a little longer with the cap off.

vaping a batch I made with 20% and can't really taste anything myself. Going to add a little fresh cream + a few drops of sweetner to see if it enhances the taste a little bit.

I think you over shot it. Try adding some vg or pg and it needs to steep
