I have been experimenting with new DIY recipes lately and I have found that many of the more plain juice recipes I am finding on the web are pretty crappy or one dimensional (I.e. just too fruity).

Example - I did a simple raspberry juice today (12% rasp, 2% Koolada and 2% EM) and it tasted like cough syrup. Not good at all. I added about 5 drops of Capella Vanilla Custard to a 10ml bottle and boom! Tastes pretty good. Not amazing, but the VC turned a juice that was going down the drain into something that I will definately vape. The VC added depth, creaminess and masked some of the harshness of the raspberry.

Anyone find the same or have another "secret weapon"?

12% rasp sounds really high to me. If it is tfa you might check the guideline "recommendations" :
Flavor Percentage Recommendations

I really enjoy using the FA (FlavorArt) Cream Fresh (or Fresh Cream) with fruits. It doesn't add sweetness, just creamy. Marshmallow is my favorite sweetner as it adds body as well.

Does it mute your flavors? I used to use it a lot. But now if I do, I may just put 1% of it. I'm looking for something else that may add sweetness or bring out the sweetness of a flavor. I don't use sweetener itself.
Ohh you could say that ;) It kills my taste buds, causes inflammation in my lymph nodes and mouth. Takes days to recover from a good dose of it. I have learned to recognize early warning symptoms like tingly lips and throw out the offending flavoring. EM may not be the only ingredient that causes this for me but it seems to be one of them.
Hard to say for certain since flavorings nor juice lists the ingredients in them.

Cake batter! I'm pretty sure I could vape dog poop if there was cake batter in it somewhere. ;) Of course, I'm sure it's "bad for me" because I like it so much. I got some cake batter dip, and it seems to be just as good. At least it won't make me fat. :D

Oh, by the way, Robert? The cake batter DID amp the cinnamon roll up just a bit. I don't think I've been over to that other thread yet today to let you know, so just in case I forgot, there ya go. I just used 2%.

Oh yeah, I remember now. You are really sensitive to a lot of flavors. That is probably the offending ingredient.

LOL! I also meant to say, I'm glad to hear that about the Vanilla Custard, because I just got a 4 oz. bottle of it. I'd ordered a tiny bottle originally, and used it in one recipe and it seemed pretty nice. Then I heard everyone saying good things about it, and found a bunch of recipes that use it, so I splurged. ;)

I like it very much. :) Both of the cake batter flavors are going to be staples for me, I think.

I was riffling through the recipes I still haven't tried earlier today and realized I need MORE BOTTLES. Or maybe I should use up some of the stuff I've already made first. :p

I like FW Cake Batter Dip.
The CAP Cake Batter not so much.

Ohh and the FW Cinnamon Churro kinda Meh...
