Captain Jack

I recently tried Captain Jack. I had not tried it earlier because the description on Halo page scared me away, it sounded so strong and harsh. Well I finally tried it and WOW it is sooooooo good! It smells and tastes just like a fresh opened cured tobacco container. It is the taste I have been looking for so so long! I love it. Not too sweet not too strong, just fresh cured tobacco taste. I think the description could be scaring people away, anyone else?? bnrk

Loved it...couldn't wait to order this! I think halo is brilliant for how they present their products, Captain JAck being one of the best. And my god - HX3 "Next Level Vape"... can't wait to try that.

But back to the Captain, I'll have to revisit it, initially I didn't really like the flavor, though the throat hit was right on par with torque... there's something in it that makes it just a little bit meaner than torque though, I get this distinct high backend esophagus throat hit with CJ. Its awesome.

But I wan't too into the flavor for an all day vape, but I'm not really into pipe tobacco.

Either way, I'll probably end up ordering some more soon, just cause vaping the captain makes me feel like a total badass.

I just tried out torque(12 mg) for the first time. I used another brand that was had 24mg of nic and it seemed to give me a greater TH. Would any of you recommend that I stay with the 12mg if I ordered CJ, or should I up it to 18mg?


*I reduced my nic level to 12 because I was getting a slight chest pain that I believe was due to the nic level.

As I said I felt the throat hit of torque and captain jack were basically the same, so if your happy with torque at 12gm you should be happy with the captain at 12.

One other thing you could do is order a 18mg and a 6mg of captain jack both in 7ml. If you mix equal parts 6mg with 18mg - you will get 12mg.

You'll then have 3 bottles of the stuff at 6mg, 12mg, and 18mg - this way you can test out which juice strength is right for you and only have to buy 2 bottles. I did this with the samplers to find my desired strength, this gives you more options and helps you find whats satisfying before you place an order for a bigger bottle.

im an 18er, but my gf is 24. when i ordered the sample pack, you couldnt split up the mg of each sample so i just went with 24 all around. im so glad i did. then again, i probably would like the juice at 18 as well- but all i know for sure is that i am loving the juice at 24! it kills my nic cravings quicker than a wild buccaneer! lol

To me Capt Jack tastes like Jack Daniels or some kinda rum with a touch of tobacco added.

I filled a carto with CJ today and tried it for the first time, been steeping for 5 days now. I like the flavour a lot! Smooth, brisk, with a hint of a spice to it, like Optimo had said, almost a rum/Jack Daniels to it. So I thought, hey try a mix, so I mixed...
10 parts CJ to 2 parts Tribeca. Turned out to be gooooood...smooth and yet with a hint of a sweet at the end.

I absolutely love Captain Jack. I'd gotten a freebie sample of it with an order months ago and I forgot about it. So it steeped all that time. When I finally tried it, it was love at first bite. Also, it smells great, like a pipe tobacco or something. It even clung to me a bit - in a good way - and when I went into my office, I was told I smell nice.

This is so interesting.
Mine was quite interesting and pleasant when opened. Not as harsh as I thought, but interesting.
I steeped it 2 days along with the others.
It turned into honey.
I mean, not something with a stronger honey component than before, Plain honey with no other favours., no harshness, no tobacco.. honey.. albeit the best one I ever tried, admittedly.

I woudkk think my taste buds have gone dead. But my wife came home and smelled the air, and said 'ohh, that's a strong smell of honey'

Yep I think too much steeping eliminated all of that from mine, leaving only the honey base.
I should reorder it and keep the bottle well closed I guess

I enjoyed it, I detected a spiced rum type flavor, a touch of bourbon, great tobacco taste, and a massive throat hit at 24mg. I've cut down to 18mg juices now because I vape more than I did to start with, but I would assume the throat hit would still be pretty massive at lower nic levels.
