Car Adapter

Has anyone tried the V4L Car Adapter?? Question also: Do you just stick the adapter in the cigarette lighter and plug in your PT to that?

i had one of them a long time ago it cost me a lot more than that one though it works with house plug and usb.. it works great though it is good for any long trip since when in a car i chain smoke when I drive.

I've got one, and it works, but weak compared to my AC/usb adapter.
Mine says "MAX 200Ma" which is really not enough.

What are one's you folks have rated at???

Mine says: input DC12v-24V
output DC 5.0V +or-1%
Max: 200mA

I've only used it for PT, not for charging, but don't see any difference between car adapter & the computer usb.

They are mis-marked as 200ma. They are really 1000ma.

If it only did 200ma, the PT would not work at all.

200mA is waaaay short. The minimum draw on the PT seems to be around 450mA, peaking to 800+mA

i found one at office depot, that was for charging anything usb and it works great,

Must be a mismarked one....it definitely powers the PT

i use mine all the time while driving....


works wonder,
but as always goes with the PT.......
the cartos will not last nearly as long!

Ditto, I love the PT in the car. Works great on road trips.
