Do you mean cartomizer or cart (cartridge)? FYI carto shouldn't be that hot normally. They often don't have a spot for adding a tip. Some do though...depends on what one it is.

Like iam said above... delrin, glass, ceramic all work....if it accepts a drip tip to begin with. If it does, you may be able to also use one of those plastic atty carts, trimmed if necessary... assuming you have one lying around.

didn't know there was a difference is a "cart" one of the prefilled units? mine is a smoketech cartomizer.

A cartrige has no heating element, its just a tube stuffed with fibers that holds juice. Used in conjunction with an atomizer. A cartomizer, like the one you are using, combines the functions of the cartridge and the atomizer. Any drip tip should resolve your heating problem including ones that conduct heat as they cool off really quickly.

howdy all, my cart is burning my lips. I don't use a tip yet, do they make tips that don't conduct much heat like ceramic? Or would a tank/carto be a better solution? All I know is the cart is a dual coil smoketech, but I don't know what the resistance is. thanks

I use a drip tip and i used to get my lips burnt until i found a wooden tip:
Electronic Cigarette Supplies & Electronic Cigarette Refills for Name-Brand Electronic Cigarettes! E-Cigs from LiteCigUSA

510/901/KR808d-1 Vase "Ligneous" Wooden Drip Tip

that was the first and only wooden tip i found so i bought it and they really do not conduct heat. they also have ceramic tips.

I used boge cartos w/o tips exclusively for around three weeks when I first got started. They shouldn't get hot on your end unless you're cramming the whole carto in your mouth with the base of it on your lips. And maybe not even then. I'm guessing you're VV and cranking the thing to 11.

Any drip tip will work fine. Mabye the anodized aluminums won't give the greatest insulation. I like the acrylic because of the swirly patterns you can get.

Cheapest tips I've found (and they're the same that are sold everywhere):

(but it takes 2 weeks to get from China)

Repeat: Why don't you guys just use the plastic cart? They come free on many atomizers. Or is it that "carto only" fans don't have any?
according to what ive seen on utube, they only hold about 15 drops of liquid. which seems to be alot of refilling. do they provide any benefits that im not seeing? besides the plastic tip

Those sad little squishy things are sad and squishy.

Cartos come with the little end plugs. Your lips are actually on the carto.

No no no no ...uh...no.

Sorry, I wasn't verbose enough. I mean... while you're waiting for a drip tip in the mail.... put a cart on the carto (in lieu of the drip tip). See if it fits. Stops burn-lip.

Edit... you can pull the stuffing out. The cart is just being used as a mouthpiece... no dripping or fluff needed.

Edit again... Carts are the same diameter as drip tips (o-ring snugness notwithstanding). They are all designed to fit a standard atty inside diameter.

I've been warned about arguing with Wishdog... but if you guys keep this up you'll get the double-face-palm.
