Carto cleaning kit?

Has anyone tried this carto cleaning kit? It's less than $8 on smoktek, I already ordered one since it's super cheap and the syringe will come in handy anyway, just curious if anyone has any experience with it. Just starting out with cartotanks and it seems like it'll be pretty handy if it does what it claims, but I've never tried to clean or reuse a carto before, so far have just replaced when it starts to taste funky.

I've read that some people clean cartos, but I can't figure out how one would get the flavor out of the polyfill. If I get e-liquid on my clothes it won't come out if just rinsed with water. {shrug} Cartos < $2.

I haven't tried that kit myself but in theory it should work well. Iv'e seen a few people on youtube use a cooking syringe or a turkey baster to clean cartos that way and it seems solid I may pick one up for myself.

Why would you bother with cleaning a carto? If I want to use another juice, I can really just use 1mL of the old juice to find out if they mix well or not. If it's close to being burnt, it may get you a few days of good use out of it..if you can call it that. The taste is altered. They're disposable, so treat them as such as baditude might not feel the need to mention now. So collect the change in your pockets, and treat it like you just prevented it from falling out and going elsewhere. So it's really like you didn't buy them.

I would've just made my own with a syringe and some tubing or something. I'm off cartos now, but when I used them I just tossed them as well.

I haven't used that particular one but when I was starting out I bought some "kit" to clean cartos similar to that. THEY DONT WORK. Don't bother. A lot of hassle for little to no gain. There's nothing you can do that you aren't already doing, so don't feel like you're missing out or losing money just because you don't have a kidney puncher kit or what-not.

Ah, well. Was only $8, and even if it's useless for cleaning 'em I can still use the syringe for filling and such. Thanks for the feedback guys!

Used to use the turkey baster method to clean them, but by half a tank they just started flooding severely, every one of them. I dont bother anymore.

Trying to clean and reuse cartos is a monumental waste of time and effort despite what others might claim. Just because you read something on an internet forum doesn't make it true.

Or you can try for yourself and learn the hard way. Your choice.

I wouldn't even bother. I tried boiling cartos in my early vaping days. I was able to get them clean, but the coil has such a short lifespan, it's not worth it. Your not going to revive a junky coil by cleaning it.

Yeah because cartos have things inside em that are not meant to be subjected to boiling water. But like the OP said, live 'n learn, atleast he can reuse some of the stuff for other things. An $8 lesson learned, how I see it.
