these look like a normal 808 carto, but I put it on a Xhaler @ 6v and it hits pretty good.. no burning taste. and it doesn't feel like it's heating up, but it could be big hopes on my part. I'd test it with my multi meter, but my MM is krap.

What did you want tested?

I've checked ohms, and they are 3 to 3.2

i'm just a very willing participant in the burning carto thread and, after looking at the burned mess inside an 808, more than willing to take a carto apart even if there was no bad taste. hopefully, cartos will keep evolving to get safer and safer and, so far, i've found the 4081s to have a good burn resistance

ok, I just didn't know the ohm ratings. I need to get a new MM, it's hard to test modding a voltage regulator into something with a crappy meter.

EW! Burned mess? This is my first (real) experience with an 808 carto. (I had dunked my toe in previously, and found it unacceptable, and moved on) Luckily I missed the "gross burned mess".
From my limitted experience, these seem, well, just like the ones I dealt with before the burning issue. Are they suppose to be different?

Do you think they mailed us the old ones?

bug, i think all manufacturers have worked on improving cartos. but there is no way of telling if somebody is sending old stock unless you saved a sample of the old ones. best way to ease your mind is to pull out the filling after you're done with one. rinse out the leftover juice so you don't confuse stains with burning and take a good look.
i thought gunji's cartos were 510?

thanks Tib. No, I thought the cartos were going to be 510 too (hehe) but they are the 808's. I found a few good deals on the 510's stateside (last weekend). Guess these 808's will be going up on the PIF or trade or want/need threads.

I missed the 510 carto co-op. Does anyone know: is there a place that lists all the current co-ops?? so we don't miss one, if we need it?
